      Hired Kitchen Iberica mid September to build custom cabinets for our bathroom and to replace closing mechanism for our kitchen cabinets/drawers. I put down 45% of total. Second week of November he came out to change kitchen drawers. He told me he would finish the kitchen the next day. I paid him in full for the kitchen and then at the end of the day proceeded to tell me he didn’t have all the hinges to change kitchen cabinets. He already had the check for full payment of this work. At this same time he delivered the custom vanity/cabinet. Even though we were still missing the countertop, hinges for doors and pulls I proceeded to pay him an additional 40% per the contract. All that was left to pay was roughly $600 upon installation. I tried contacting him beginning 12/13/21 via text/phone call with no response. I finally emailed him beginning of January and heard back. He said he had health issues, apologized and told me he’d let me know ASAP when he could install the bathroom cabinets and finish kitchen. He never followed thru. I attempted to text/email him 3-4 more times at which point I gave up. I ended up having to hire another cabinet company to build new cabinets since what he had provided us wouldn’t even work for it’s intended purpose-they weren’t built properly or to code. I also hired another company to fabricate the counter top. I’m looking to be reimbursed for the material/time for the kitchen cabinet hinges he didn’t finish; for the quartz countertop/fabrication/installation which he didn’t provide and which I paid $1200 for and for part of the cabinets which were built poorly and didn’t include hinges, pulls or shelves.

      First of all, apologize for the inconvenience caused. 
      The situation created at the time, was because the bathroom was not yet finished by the masonry part, and of course we could not proceed to the installation of the bathroom furniture and the auxiliary furniture, which also at the time of going to install these furniture, we would proceed to the installation of the hinges that were missing in the kitchen.
      Unfortunately, as a result of this delay, I happened to have a health problem with the meniscus of the knee, of which I am still in the medical process.
      In reference to the estimated amount, the cost that has been charged, has been in correspondence to the bathroom furniture delivered, which were manufactured based on the plans provided and finishes chosen by the property and all the accessories installed in the kitchen (structure of drawers with soft close, handles, removable garbage kit,  etc). 
      The amount that would remain to be covered by the client, is based on the installation of furniture and countertop piece of the bathroom furniture and the hinges of the kitchen, works that would be fully covered by the outstanding amount

        In response to this claim, the client chose the material with which she worked in our store, saw the characteristics of the furniture that was going to be installed, and agreed. another thing, the installation for us had a cost much lower than that charged by the company that contracted the client and we cannot assume the added cost. Contrary to what the client says, the only thing missing in this project was the installation of the furniture and the hinges of the kitchen furniture that were missing to arrive. Our company was always available to do such work.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      We were missing the installation of the bathroom wall cabinet and vanity, shelves for the bathroom wall cabinet, handles for ALL bathroom fixtures, hinges for bathroom wall cabinet, and fabrication/installation of vanity quartz top.

      In the kitchen we were missing the change out of hinges for the cabinet doors to a soft close mechanism AND handles for the cabinet doors (inclusive of the laundry room doors).

      It is untrue that he claims that we’re available to come and install/complete the work. As noted in my original complaint I tried NUMEROUS times to get a hold of him to NO avail. When we first hired him we told him we were still several weeks from having him come in. He knew this and understood. I followed up with HIM in November; in no way did he reach out to me in the interim.

      Lastly we chose a remnant piece of quartz from the fabricator in order to lower our cost of having to hire another company to complete their work. I received two quotes for the fabrication/installation and the one we went with was actually the lower of the two.

      I expect reimbursement for ALL material that they failed to install/complete.
