I purchased a license for the Sync2 program from ******************** Corporation on 03/28/2021. It was a user license and the advertisement states, "1 year of free upgrades and free support is included." I interpreted this as a user, perpetual license, with free upgrades for the next year. On 07/30/2023 I was backing up the data on my computer to prepare to perform a factory reset, and I could not find clear documentation about how to reactive my license when attempting to reinstall the program. When I contacted 4Team Corporation on 07/31/2023 for assistance I was told that I needed to renew my license to be able to do so. I was given the offer to purchase either a 1 year license, or a lifetime license. I was confused because I thought already owned a lifetime license, and frustrated because this is the first time I saw an offer that was explicitly labeled as a life time license. I tried contacting ********************'s sales support about this issue they would not admit the advertising was vague or misleading.Business response

With each purchase you will receive a fully functioning product and a 1 year subscription for free updates and support. After 1 year goes by we do not cut off the service and you can still use it on the same environment but you cannot update, use emergency transfer for your license or receive support. The initial license price that comes with a 1 year plan of support and updates is $49.95. That's what the user has.
In order to make it a lifetime license, a license upgrade is bought for an extra $74.95.
If this was unclear in any way on our page, we apologies. It's stated next to the purchase at all times.
As an exception we can arrange a lifetime license upgrade for $49.95 instead for this specific user.
