I did business with King of the Road Transport on 1/21/22 to transport my Honda Accord 2015 from Miami, FL to Denver CO, they contacted JS Auto Transport LLC as the carrier. On 1/30/22 I received a call from the driver that my car was stolen in Aurora, CO because he demounted the car from the trailer to shuffle cars, and left my car keys in the ignition! I had to go through my insurance to recover what ever I could. King of the Road did reimburse me the deposit, but they never followed up with me on how they could help after the incident, It is if they washed their hands and it became my problem, which was/ is the case. I would never do any business with KOTR because clearly they do not vet their carriers, they are probably ghost business, and they may be even responsible of stealing my car. Never in my life have I dealt with a company so irresponsible I Think people have a right to know that if they entrust their cars to them, they are running a risk of damage, or worst case scenario as it happened to me of a total loss, with no help or responsibility from KOTR. I think I would of been better of to find a stranger on the street and asked him/her to take my car to another state. My order ID 18483 for the transaction.

Mr. ********** account of what happened while JS Auto was transporting his vehicle is accurate and we are sorry for that. King of the Road has worked with JS Auto several times without incident or complaint. JS Auto has accepted their part in this situation, and acknowledged what they did wrong. Having said that, whether a vehicle is stolen while it is being transported, or in your drive way at night while you sleep, the real person to blame is the car thief.
What is not accurate about Mr. ********** statement is the following:

      1. King of the Road reimbursed Mr. ******** because he immediately demanded a refund, and due to the circumstances King of the Road agreed and obliged.
After the refund was made, we gathered all the documents we had on file from our vetting process and provided them to Mr. ********. We also spoke to the insurance company to be sure we were in fact providing everything Mr. ******** would need. Unfortunately, since King of the Road does not own the vehicle, we are limited to what we can do for the client. We did let Mr. ******** know to call us if it turned out that he needed anything further, or if he felt we coud be of assistance with something.
      2. King of the Road clearly vets all carriers contracted for transport and this is proven by the documents Mr. ******** used to file his claim with the insurance company, dated 1/21/22. Also, public records still show JS Auto as a reputable carrier with a clean inspection record.
      3. King of the Road is obviously not a ghost company, as the very platform Mr. ******** is using to file this complaint has accredited us for the last 10 years.
      4. King of the Road absolutely did not steal Mr. ********** vehicle. We understand Mr. ******** is angry and upset and wants to find anyone to blame for this situation, but accusations like this are unnecessary.

All parties who chose to transport a vehicle run a risk with any company they work with. Vehicles get damaged, and as King of the Road has just learned after 10+ years, sometimes stolen. That is exactly while King of the Road verifies all carriers are licensed by the FMCSA, insured (not only with coverage that the law requires, but cargo coverage for additional protection) and King of the Road also offers gap coverage to every shipper for their vehicles safety.

Lastly, King of the Road has no say or  control over the final decisions the insurance company makes in regards to the claims filed.
