March 11, 2024 I paid $1,500.00 to ABC Roofing to repair a leak. With a 6 month guarantee. The area they worked on was other than the area that the water was coming from. They worked on an area that was downslope from the problem. After complaining, they sent a crew to work on the problem area and did a very shoddy job (see pics). The water continued to leak, and after promising to return on 3 occasions, they neither returned, nor called. The problem persists and they refuse to honor their 6 month guarantee.

ABC Roofing fixed a leak over the front door in Feb 2024.

Cust called us stating the leak has returned. We went out on 3 different times to inspect the repair we preformed and everytime we met the homeowners roommate  onsite they showed us a different area over a window.

We are more than happy to repair the leak we fixed. If the leak over the front door is still leaking we have no problem going out and fixing what is going on.

However everytime we do go, we are being told it is a different area.

Clarify it is the leak over the door (we do not fix interior damages) and if so we can come back out this week.

I am rejecting this response because: I did reach out to ABC Roofing and they did send out ****** on Wednesday 7/19/24, We did Facetime on my roommate's phone and told him the details. I did not hear back from them. I called on Thursday and Friday and left messages and got no response. Meanwhile the City gave me a code violation on the roof. The roof tile/shingles must match the roof color the closest they can. As you can see in the photos, they put gray tile/shingles on a brown roof. On Monday ***** called and said someone will be out that morning for repair will call before they head this way, but never did. I called her back later in the afternoon and told her no one showed up. I called her on Tuesday left a message. I called again on Wednesday 7/24/2024 and she said she didn't know what was going on that she will have to ask the manager and call me back. I have not heard back from her yet. This is the norm for this Company, They go around and around like they don't know what's going on and don't return phone calls. I believe they are stalling till the warranty runs out.

      Sincerely,

April 30th 2018 My husband and I hired ABC roofing for a complete re-roofing of our townhome. The company came out and left roofing materials outside my front door for 6 months until i complained. My roof was completed January 15th 2019. I later found out the job was subcontracted out.(Confirmed by ABC roofing employees.) My roof started to leak just one year later. The first time they came out they said it was the neighbors roof causing the leak. Then they somehow found the leak. I paid and have the damages to the upstairs bathroom repaired. The second time they claimed it was coming from the A/C vent in master bathroom (it wasn't) I have pictures and videos I showed the owner at ABC roofing the ceiling leaking and water pouring from the light fixture. They came and stated they found and fix the leak. Every Time they come out repair the leaks they want access to the inside of my home. I asked them to repair the damage done to the master bedroom and my son's room they stated "We aren't responsible for damages done to the inside of your home." Fast forward to February 2024 I notified them Yet again my roof was leaking in my sons room. I sent ABC roofing pictures of the water falling onto his bed and behind the paint they haven't responded. It's an ongoing battle with them every rainy season.God only knows how these ppl sleep at night knowing they are doing the consumers so wrong.

I am rejecting this response because:
Please stop lying. Ive granted access to both inside and outside my home EVERY single time. You guys (ABC roofing) cant seem to fix the poor workmanship by the subcontractors you sent. They have caused more harm than good. EVERY single time it rains I have more and more damage to the inside of my home that ABC Roofing REFUSES to cure. So please stop putting ****** glue on my roof that washes off with the slightest bit of water and redo the s***** job done by the SUBCONTRACTOR!!!

ABC Roofing changed my roof in 2004 and I was very happy with them. Naturally 20 years later, when I had a leak, I called them. They came within reasonable time, but refused to check the attic for a leak. He told me that my roof drain pipe needs to be changed. I hired them to change the drain pipe. They came and told me the job was done! Charged $1200.00 that was in NOV 2023. We did not have severe rain until 22MAR2024. It leaked worst than the first time in the same exact area. I called ABC Roofing. This time a different guy went in the attic and said this is not the same leak. And wants to charge me $2200 to fix it.Well, I had 3 other roofers and insurance inspector checking the attic. There is no leak stain near the roof drain. The leak was somewhere else in the Same side as the roof drain.ABC is refusing to issue a refund. They are refusing to fix the problem They are refusing to pay for the water damage caused in my dining room due to their negligence They are refusing to give me details as to what they changed on my roof. They told me verbally that they changed the drain pipe. I still have the old drain pipe. The receipt states that they repaired the roof but it doesnt state anything about the drain pipe !!!!The Secretary refused to email me the receipt so she took a picture and texted me as I have attached here !!!

I spoke with the customer a few days ago and advised that I would be more than happy to send the same estimator out to reevaluate the situation. Never did we say we were not going to help. If we made an error in location we have no problem addressing the problem.

However the customer did not want me to send anyone out and just threatened legal action. Also she just wanted our conversation in writing, I told her I do not have the capability to do so, however we can schedule for our team to go out and see what exactly is going on.

The customer is more than welcome to call the office again and ask to be put on schedule for us to see what exactly is going on. (Free evaluation)

ABC Roofing reroofed flat roof on my home 12/19/2019 with a 10 year warranty. I called ABC Roofing about a leak in my kitchen and master bedroom November 27, 2023. A roofer was sent out and I was given a charge of $1400.00 and was told that it was not from the work that was done when the roof was reroofed. I scheduled 2 other roofers and was told by both that the leaks were because of the tie in from the flat roof work done. I advised *** of the inspections and results. *** refused to make the repair, stating that the ten year warranty did not cover the leaks.

Customer called in on 11/21/2023 of a leak they were having. We did replace their flat roof in 2019 with a 10 year warranty.

We also go out and inspect the leak the owner is having prior to performing any work. Per our repairman, he confirmed that the leak was coming from the sloped shingle roof.

We pulled a permit on this roof back in 2019 and had the city inspect our work and confirmed we did the flat roof to code. IF the leak was coming from the flat we would have no issue to fix the problem under warranty.

We informed the owner it would be $1400 for the repair, however due to being our customer we offered $400 discount. We did not hear back. If the flat roof is worked on by another roofer, this will void our warranty.

We had a contract with the management company/association not with individual owners.
Unit owner had a leak, we came out and fixed the issue.
Tiles stay off until our 2nd crew comes out to reinstall.
We were in contact with the owners association and informed every time we were coming out, and delays. We had 2 huge rains that caused a delay in our response time.
The owners association is responsible for keeping the owners updated. We apologize for the fact that it rained so much and caused our crews to fall behind. We do not work in the rain as it is a safety hazard.
To my knowledge this repair is no longer leaking, and tiles are put back.

ABC Roofing was contracted for the installation of a new roof on our residence. The installation team completed as of 5/27/22. On 6/4/22 there was extensive rain water intrusion into the front bedroom of our residence coming from the roof. *** was not willing to send someone to address the issue as of 6/7/23. The office manager was indifferent to the disaster and provided minimal information as to when someone might even be able to come work on the issue. After I called their sales rep they sent an individual to assess the issue but the repair was not completed until 6/22/23.I incurred a $3804 insurance deductible due to the damage repairs. I also have a personal property item with a replacement cost of $424.09 that was warped by the rain water.Due to deficient workmanship on the brand new roof being the source of the damage to my residence I contend that ABC Roofing must compensate me for the expenses I incurred simply by trusting that ABC Roofing was capable of doing the job. I am seeking a refund in the amount of $4228.09.

I contracted ABC Roofing to provide a new roof in 2018. The roof has been leaking since then, causing extensive damage to my attic and the water has entered my home destroyed my ceiling, drywall, and wood flooring. The company is not taking responsibility for a substandard job. They left gaping holes in my roof. I have had FOUR separate opinions from quality roofers who say "industry standards" were not met. ABC Roofing's work is substandard and they are not willing to resolve the problems without me paying extra to provide a water proof roofing system. At this point I'm not sure I want them to even fix the problem as I am not confident in their ability to do the job right.

      Business response

      08/16/2022

In response to the issue stated, we have spoken to the customer multiple times in regards to this issue. We redid the customers roof in 2018. We indicated at the time that the chimney should be repaired and or replaced and the owners did not want to move forward with the repairs at that time. We did cut out for the flashing but we never removed the flashing. The area was sealed, it just required stucco. The owners only called us years later to indicate they were having a leak. We went out, determined that the chimney is rotted and that it needs to be repaired and or replaced. (The leak was coming from the chimney, however it was higher up on the chimney where we touched.) The chimney cap had an issue which the owners hired an outside contractor to do this work. This is not covered under the warranty. The owner claims that they were having a leak possibly for years. Yet no one contacted us until recently. The customers did have another contactor out for the chimney, yet are not holding them responsible for their work.

We are more than willing to fix and or replace the chimney. However this is not part of the contract and we did provide a discounted price for not being replaced originally when we recommended it.

      Complaint: 17717268

I am rejecting this response because:  What the company responded is categorically FALSE. The chimney WAS (OF COURSE) to be included in the ***** roof replacement. I would never have contracted for a partial roofing system. They left two feet around my chimney exposed with no roof tiles wthout telling me, with no flashing, and my roof was left to the elements. This is unacceptable work product, and the attempts at repair only made it worse. Their worker cut the stucco far too deep, and in the process cut the plywood framing my chimney, to make room to put the tiles up to the chimney, as they should have done the first time, when I contracted for an entire new roof. At that point, I believe the worker knew he made a mistake and just left it with additional holes in my roof.

I had no idea the roof was leaking and the chimney was exposed. I trusted that the company had given me a leak proof, complete roofing system. The water intrusion became evident only after time, because the rain would enter the roof decking, attic floor, trusses and insulation. It would be absorbed, and then dry up. It took time for everything in the attic to saturate, rot and for water to enter my house. That is when I noticed the damage, climbed on top of the roof and saw the two foot exposed area (tarpaper only) where the tiles should have been placed up to the chimney. Their assertion that it took so long to report it is not a reason abandon their work and their guarantee.  When I determined it was faulty work, I immediately reached out to the company, and I heard them on the phone trying to escape blame and cast the blame on me.

I did hire a contractor to install a chimney cap. *** said the leak came from the cap. I have evidence that the leak and water damage has occurred below the cuts they made to the stucco on my chimney, and the lack of tar, tar paper and tiles around the chimney. I had 4 other companies come out and support my assertion that the leaks are coming from incomplete, faulty work done by ***. I have this all in writing.

This is a warning to consumers to avoid this company! They do not take responsibility for faulty work, over and over again, and they have caused tens of thousands of dollars of damage inside my home, for a job that I paid $40,000 for 3 years ago.

      Sincerely,

The customers contract states that Any L flashing and or stucco is an additional cost. The **flashing was never removed from the chimney. We put the stucco back that was removed. We did what was asked and did not charge. At this point the owner is having issues with the chimney in its entirety, we offered to do the project at cost. The customer keeps bringing up the chimney being apart of the contract. Back when the project was taken place, we spoke to the customer and they declined any additional work for the chimney. We are not denying work for the customer, their contract does not cover what they want done. We have lowered the price to cost only, (material and labor). We do not know what else can be done per the customers contract. I would be more than happy to attach the contract if needed.

Hi my name is ***** ***** I actually rent the house that I live in and the owners had the roof redone and what happened was the company had their trucks and everything all over my yard and things just everywhere and when they left my car had three flat tires one flat tire one that was getting ready to blow up and then the back one so two front tires and one in the back so I paid for the tires to get fixed because that's the only car that I have and I take care of my mom who is 80 years old. the owner of the house hired them and paid for it. Tara kingdom said I had no choice that I had to get the new tires it's not my fault that they left nails all over my yard and driveway to this day I'm still finding nails and they need to pay for something that they were responsible doing and again I'm still driving on the tires with no alignment, Which they did say would ruin my tires if I didn't get that done. again they need to be responsible and held accountable and pay!Ownthree years 5000 mile

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/20) */ To whom it my concern, This issue was not brought to our attention by our customer to whom we have a contract with. Our customers tenet contacted us months after we preformed the work and indicated they had many nails in their tires. We were not informed by our customer of this issue, and had done a full sweep of the property multiple times for debris. If someone contacted us immediately after the fact, we would have no problem looking into this. After months of not being informed, we cannot assume that these issues were a result from our doing. In the 34 years of being in business, we have never had a customer needing to replace all tires and or an alignment. We do not agree with these accusations.
