  I entered into a contract with All American Aluminum in February, 2023 to replace a carport and lanai that was destroyed by Hurricane ***. Contract amount is $19,600. A $1600 deposit was required at that time. Reengineer on the job was required to obtain the permit. Work to commence Aug/Sept 2023. In July, 2023 carport roof panels arrived and I was advised according to the contract a draw of 15K was due, and I paid. I asked the status of the permit on numerous occasions and was told it was in the process. Materials for the job continued to arrive. Finally when workers showed up, they had no drawings, no permit and had no idea what needed to be done. After working less than a week, workers were pulled off the job, and didn't return for a week or more. The day window openings were measured, workers were pulled off the job again and I was advised they would not return until the windows were ready, approximately 6-8 weeks. Because no permit was ever obtain, I filed a complaint with *************************** and a Stop Work was ordered. On Sept 11, and 28 All American submitted drawings and both times those drawings were rejected. As of 10/21/2023 the STOP WORK is still in effect.

  I realize you have closed the complaint for Mr. **********************'s failure to respond,  however, if you can reopen this complaint or start another to help with what is happening.

  Mr. ********************** had failed to pull a permit for my carport and screened enclosure.  I filed a complaint with Charlotte County, and with ** Legal helpline, or ** Seniors vs Crime.

  In November 2023 Mr. ********************** finally obtained a permit, and the inspection was scheduled and on 12/12/23 at which time  Charlotte County Inspector failed the inspection.  When the permit was applied for it only included the carport roof , the enclosure was not included, no engineering drawings were submitted so no permit was issued.  As of today January 25, ****, All American has done nothing to advise me on how they plan to resolve the problems.  

  According to the inspector no engineering drawings have been submitted to the county as of today 1/25/24.
