Buyer Beware! We purchased a brand new/factory sealed ********** for a phenomenal price with no tax & free shipping, and although we had to wait 10 days for delivery from ******* to **********, the ** was delivered. (Ordered on 2/20, arrived on 3/2.) Because the ** was sitting in styrofoam, we didn't notice during the unpacking and inspection that there was a defect in the bottom ** frame. On 3/9, The AV Dudes agreed to take it back based on photos I sent them. Getting the truck back to pick it up took a few weeks and some effort on my part to follow-up, but they finally arrived on 4/4. I followed up again about 10 days later and spoke with *************************** ***************** Guru": **************************. He checked the warehouse and confirmed that the ** had arrived and was sitting there. He said that it had not been checked in by anyone. He also told me that they would process the refund right away. I kept checking my credit card account for the the $2397 refund but it didn't come through for over a month. Finally, I went to Paypal and disputed the charge for a returned item. Initially they declined the claim but then I re-opened it as a defective merchandise claim and was just now given my money back. It's June 12th. So to summarize, I purchased the ** in February, and got my money back in June. I honestly do not believe that I would've gotten my money back if I had not initiated the claim process. Fair warning to anyone shopping with The AV Dudes or their parent company Ielectrica.com, yes you will get a great deal on new merchandise but are they factory seconds? And if you have an issue, their customer service is non-existent and you will have to do the legwork to get your refund. If you do decide to buy from them, cross your fingers, pray, etc... that it all works out. Do yourself a favor and keep all email correspondence and notes from phone conversations (if you can ever get anyone on the phone). You'll need them when you file your claim.
