      This complaint is addressing the business practices of ************************* of Spoodville, providing additional details on a series of concerning incidents related to my purchase and subsequent attempts to obtain a refund.On December 27th, I purchased a winter bundle from *************************, which included two slings, enclosures, and fruit flies, totaling $100. Initially scheduled to ship on January 8th with an arrival date of the 10th, the process faced delays due to winter weather. Subsequent shipping dates were pushed to the week of the 17th.When I requested shipping on a day with favorable weather, ******* cited family obligations that were not previously disclosed. Frustrated by these delays and influenced by numerous reviews highlighting medical excuses, I requested a refund. In response, ******* attempted to guilt me by sending personal and disturbing photos of her child in a hospital bed.Simultaneously, I received 13 phone calls and text messages from an unknown number, insulting and berating me for seeking a refund. ******* later denied giving out my private information, accusing me of fabricating the messages, despite her name being mentioned in these text messages.After agreeing to a refund on January 19th, I discovered that ******* had already removed funds from the Venmo account, spending them before fulfilling the order. When I questioned the refund status, she became hostile and directed me to retrieve my money through a ***** dispute. However, she is now actively fighting the dispute to fraudulently retain my funds.These incidents collectively raise serious concerns about ***************************** business practices, including financial impropriety, emotional manipulation, and unauthorized sharing of private information. I trust that the Better Business Bureau will thoroughly investigate these matters to protect consumers from such practices.Thank you for your prompt attention to this comprehensive complaint.

      I purchased a spider from this business in August 2023. After a delay in shipping, I received it, but it died within the window of guaranteed health. I had chosen Spoodville in part because of the two week health guarantee, which not all breeders offer. This spider was for my young son and I wanted to make sure that if it died right away, wed be able to have it replaced, because I knew he would be devastated. All attempts to get in touch with Spoodville after its passing were ignored, and as expected, my son was heartbroken. We ended up paying another $100 to get one from a different breeder. Unfortunately, Venmo goods and services does not offer refunds for warranty disputes, so we are out $70. I would like a refund, but more than anything, Id like the business owner to use responsible business practices and stop scamming people out of their money. After doing copious research, I now know that not only does this breeder sell spiders that are too young and often die in transit or shortly after arrival, they also will take peoples money and not deliver the spiders at all, citing mental illness, broken bones, even death in the family (which is the excuse she used when my shipment was initially delayed). I have also heard other horror stories that I can not verify, so will not share them here, but a quick internet search is all thats needed.

      I ordered a jumping spider and supplies last week, I sent $120 over Venmo, but have not received any tracking numbers, updates, or further information. Upon further research, it seems that there are many other people that have ordered from this business and have no received any information or their orders, including being strung along for months at a time and blocked on social media for asking for updates.

      I purchased a spider from this business in Dec. 13, 2022 at a total of $86. With promises to receive the spider on Jan. 3-4, 2023. I was patient and kind to the owner, and out of nowhere she blocked me and several others and refuses to acknowledge her taking peoples money. This has happened to myself and several others.

      -Date of transaction: November 24, 2022 -Amount paid: $100 -Business committed to provide two juvenile jumping spiders to be shipped overnight to Boston receiving center specified in order. -Nature of dispute: Promised product was not shipped for over a month with little communication from the business owner. After a month, I requested an order cancellation and refund due to not receiving any products promised with no word from the owner. After several emails including pertinent order information, and two messages on Instagram where the business owner had most recently been active in responding to customers, there is still no response. I would like my money back and for this not to happen to another customer. -The business has ignored all communication efforts and has not attempted to resolve the issue. -Order Number: **********

      Order placed on 1/6/23 for 1 live Phiddipus Regius sling to be shipped on 1/17/23 and delivered 1/18/23, order confirmation email was received that same day, error in the order was identified and 3 separate messages were sent to the seller via email/instagram/website message system on 1/12/23 and 1/16/23, no indication of shipment nor response to any of the various messages received as of 1/19/23 and package has not delivered as specified
