05/14/24 I took my car to Sky's **** because my 4th spark plug misfired . My other 3 spark plugs were brand new . The shop kept my car for over the weekend and when I picked it up Monday 05/20/24 they charge me $170. They didn't even tell me the costs associated or nothing before they did anything. I paid it and they handed me the invoice . 10 hours later the car misfired again . Same spark plug . They admitted to NOT changing the plugs . But they charged me $170. Let mention I didn't authorize any of this . I didn't know any prices till they were done . When I brought it back 05/21/24 because I couldn't drive the car they kept my car all the way till Friday 05/25/24 . The day before I told him only to change that ONE spark plug because all the others were NEW. They still ended up changing ALL 4 spark plugs and charged me another $150. When they could've done that the first time. When I went back to talk to the owner to resolve the situation the owner refused to admit to his wrongdoing the first time . I even asked for only 30% back ! I didn't even want all I just know $330 total for spark plugs is price gouging!

***************** had his vehicle towed in on 5/16/24 from another mechanic shop which ******* had to come bring us the key because he did not leave it with tow truck driver. He came in the next day so we could not check his vehicle the same day as drop off. He claimed he had his vehicle with the same issue with previous mechanic. I am a vendor to his warranty company so he requested for a shop to repair it under warranty but the warranty company denied any maintenance repairs. We charge a $100 diagnostic fee to find the issue. When we found the issue, young lady in office name ****** called ***************** to explain his problem on his vehicle. Which was there was oil coming out from his valve cover gasket & leaking into spark plugs & coil. We also notice screws over tighten & mixed screws on the coils. 2 ignition coils was easily pulled apart with out any tools used. When we noticed previous mechanic did not install his parts properly we explained this to *******. We suggested to him we can clean the oil from the plugs & coils & reinstall them. There was no grantee if we did so. Our other suggestion was allowing us to changing the ignition coil & all spark plugs, basically the same service he done with previous mechanic. He said he wanted the cheapest option because he been without his vehicle for a long time & did not have money. He gave us a verbal agreement to proceed with the service. We proceeded and went with cleaning the oil from plugs which you see a charge of $173 on 5/20/24. $173 was service of diagnostic & resurfacing the coils which was explained to him it was cleaning the oil from spark plugs and coils. Removing all his spark plugs and coils. He agreed so we proceeded on 5/20/24. He had picked up the vehicle same day. He called us the very next day that he had the same issue and wanted to tow it back. We checked the vehicle the next day and told him he now has to change the spark plugs because there was too much oil in them. As courtesy i removed his valve cover gasket, cleaned and reseal his valve cover gasket. Replaced all 4 spark plugs to new which he wanted us to change just one & i refused to do that. He had spoken to my service manager & he explained the car would have to be done the right way. ***************** told him why he wanted the cheap way out since he spent soo much money with the previous mechanic. So i tried to help him as much as i could. I did not charge him to change his spark plugs nor to add 2 quarts of oil that leaked out. Nor did i charge to reseal his valve cover gasket! Everything was explained by me & service manager also my office personal ******. We do not proceed with any services with out approvals by owner of vehicle. He tried to come extort me after he gotten his car back running properly. We had to clean up mistake from previous mechanics but to get blamed for reason his car not working properly? Came in a tow truck & left driving.

The owner I see has a habit of consistently lying. First off, I came into the shop the SAME DAY on 5/16/24 to bring the keys because my brother towed the car for me . So when he did that I brought keys once he said it was at the shop around 1pm. The owner was not there at the time the manager said the owners AUNTIE DIED. (Couldve been a lie to) but he was in ********. My other mechanic hasnt touched my car in months and has ONLY replaced spark plugs. Which every one knows is a basic maintenance to a vehicle and a SAMEDAY FIX. I told him that it was a INTERNAL issue. Which was the ENGINE. But the spark plug misfired (only one, the others were brand new) Which means REPLACE. My WARRANTY would cover the engine parts but NOT the spark plugs . And I knew that already . Thats why I went to them to check out my ENGINE after they replace my spark PLUG. Because my WARRANTY would cover my engine . I called my warranty company and they said they never called . They never mentioned a $100 diagnostic from the START. But I didnt have a problem paying for it AT ALL . When they charged me the FIRST TIME . Actually the owner was the one who collected money the FIRST TIME and I didnt have ANY PROBLEM WITH IT . NOW if they did a diagnostic it would tell them the 4th spark plug is misfiring. YOU SHOULD REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE FOR IT TO WORK. They ended up telling me they only cleaned the spark plugs and did a whole lot of mechanic talk and I said okay and took my car out the shop 5/20/24. but 10 hours after I left the shop my car misfired AGAIN. (Because they PUT THE SAME PART IN MY *** THAT MISFIRED AFTER IT WAS ALREADY FILED OUT/GONE) so i had to tow back . Now remind you that service costed $173 like he said . I had to bring it back to the shop the NEXT DAY because tow trucks wasnt available . So that was 5/21/24 when the car came THAT morning. I told them it was the SAME ISSUE. AND THEY ADMIT THEY ONLY CLEANED. Now why would I authorize you to do work on my car for it only to last 10 hours . HE NEVER TOLD ME HE WAS ONLY GOING TO CLEAN THE ***** PLUGS AND PUT IT BACK IN . A GOOD MECHANIC FIXES THE PROBLEM. THERE WAS NO PROBLEM FIXED THAT DAY. Also he says I wanted a cheaper option . But I paid $330 in total . So whats cheap for ONLY ***** PLUGS . Also. HE ADMITTED TO ME ONLY AUTHORIZING TO CHANGE ONE ***** PLUG . I TALKED TO THE MANAGER HE SAID OKAY . I COME BACK 5/24/24 to get my car and they tell me they changed all 4 spark plugs. THEY NEVER REFUSED . They did what they wanted . I have receipts where he charged for 2 qts of oil . And for the 4 spark plugs . Idk what hes denying that . HE has them to . BUT I PAID EVERYTHING BECAUSE THE FIRST TIME I CAME I HAD TO PAY BECAUSE FROM MY UNDERSTANDING THE *** WAS FIXED. I PAID THE 2nd time BECAUSE I TOLD ****** I WAS GOING TO COME BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY AND SPEAK WITH THE ***** ABOUT THERE MISTAKE . WHEN I DID THAT WE TALKED AND HE WASNT TAKING ANY ACCOUNTABILITY LIKE HE STILL IS NOW . AT THE END TO MAKE IT RIGHT I ASKED FOR $100. 30% of what I paid him . Now thats when I FIRST FOUND OUT ABOUT THE DIAGNOSTIC CHARGE . (He was suppose tell me about it when I came in the first time 5/20/24 NOT a WEEK LATER.) but either he didnt do the diagnostic or he didnt LISTEN to the diagnostic because if he DID . He would have changed the spark plug . BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT CAME ON THE DIAGNOSTIC 4th Spark plug misfired a simple FIX is to REPLACE. Its not hard . So why did I get charged $330? Because of a GREEDY *****. And he says I was trying to go the cheapest route but I paid him what he asked for plus more then Ive ever paid any mechanic. HE had to fix his OWN mistake because I brought back the car the same day the first time so the second time was $150. So I paid $330 in total for a job he could have done the FIRST TIME. He only charged me double . He knew what he was doing . Because if he had did what he did the SECOND TIME THE FIRST TIME I would have only been charged $150 or $250 with the diagnostic! But they wanted more money and again I NEVER AUTHORIZED WHAT HE DID . He LITTERALLY ADMITTED TO IT . HE REFUSED AND NOBODY REFUSED TO MY FACE. OR OVER THE ***** .

I am rejecting this response because:

THIS ***** CLAIMED HE COMPLETED THE *** BUT AFTER THE FIRST TIME I BROUGHT IT TO HIM FOR SPARK PLUGS HE CHARGED ME $170! THEN 10 HOURS LATER THE SAME SPARK PLUG MISFIRED BECAUSE HE DIDNT CHANGE IT . I ORIGINALLY CAME FOR MY ENGINE TO BE DIAGNOSED. NO OTHER MECHANIC WORKED ON MY *** OTHER THEN BASIC MAINTENANCE SPARK PLUGS IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS. THE ***** CONSTANTLY LIES. AFTER I BROUGHT THE *** BACK ONLY ONE (THE SAME) SPARK PLUG MISFIRED. SO I ASKED THEM TO CHANGE ONLY ONE. THEY SAID THEY WILL. I COME BACK AND THEY SAID THEY CHANGED ALL 4! AND CHARGED ANOTHER $150! LIKE NO AUTHORIZATION??? THE RIGHT THING TO DO IS SINCE WITHIN 10 HOURS OF MY *** COMING ABCK FROM THE **** "APPARENTLY FIXED" THEY CHARGED ME $170! I COME BACK YOU CHARGE ANOTHER $150. HE SAID A *** WAS DONE BUT IF I HAD TO BRING MY *** BACK FOR THE SAME PROBLEM WITHIN 10 HOURS DOES THAT SOUND FIXED? NO I SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN CHARGED THE SECOND TIME. I WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR A SERVICE THAT WAS NOT COMPLETED THE FIRST TIME I CAME BACK WITHIN 10 HOURS . WHAT SERVICE WAS COMPLETED IF I BROUGHT IT BACK THE SAME DAY. THIS IS WHAT A POOR ***** LOOKS LIKE CANT TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY.
