On 1/8/24 I signed a contract with Hammond to reseal the aluminum roof on our screen room. The original roof was replaced by Hammond on 10/5/20, for the amount of $8,300.00. The original roof leaked in many places, and Hammond did ultimately fix the leaks after numerous calls from me and repair tries. In January of 2024 one small leak began. Thought it would be time to have the roof resealed to prevent further leaking. In January of 24 we were scheduled to be pressure cleaned by Hammond. No show. I called, and they said there was a truck emergency. On 1/25 Hammond came out and pressure cleaned the roof and said they would be out the next day to seal. Again no show. On 1/30 I called Hammond. Was told they would call on 1/31 to reschedule. No call. 2/1 they resealed the roof. On 2/4 we had the first rain and instead of just one small leak we now had several leaks. I called and emailed Hammond, was told theyd send another roofer. 2/16 I emailed Hammond regarding no response. Was told by office staff that they would let me know when someone could come out, but that we should contact the original roofers, which by the way was them! 2/20 a different roofer from Hammond came out and resealed. 3/3 was the first rain, and we had two leaks. I contacted Hammond and they said they would send someone. No one showed. 3/22 another rain, and two leaks. Contacted Hammond and office staff reported that they would send someone hopefully next week. Have heard nothing. On a positive note, each time I have been forced to contact Hammond, the office staff has been very courteous, but then again to no avail. We are an elderly couple on a fixed income and really enjoy our time in our screen room. Hopefully this issue can be resolved so we dont have to dodge leaks. We certainly cant afford to hire another companyBusiness response
