My husband initially reached out to ********************* of Angel Contractors LLC after seeing a ******** Ad for a pergola, on February 29th, 2***, we officially entered into contract #***-0728 with ***** Angel ***** of Angel Contractors LLC. The contract was for the installation of a pergola and the addition of new electrical outlets in our backyard. To secure the agreement, we paid a $8,000.00 deposit via **************** with a remaining balance of $4,000.00 due upon completion, as per ************************* request for additional funds to cover project expenses. Despite our payment and the contractual agreement, as of the time of writing, there is no record of any existing or pending permit for the pergola construction or related work under Angel Contractors LLC with the City of Tamarac building department. ********************* has ceased all communication and has failed to follow up on his previous text messages, abandoning our project. Furthermore, he has not taken any tangible steps to initiate the contracted project, placing him in direct violation of relevant Florida statute *******, Section 2(a), Subsection 1. (2)(a) A contractor who receives, as initial payment, money totaling more than 10 percent of the contract price for repair, restoration, improvement, or construction to residential real property must: 1. Apply for permits necessary to do work within 30 days after the date payment is made, except where the work does not require a permit under the applicable codes and ordinancesGiven these circumstances, we have lost confidence in ************************* ability to fulfill his obligations. Consequently, we have formally requested a full refund of the $8,000.00 paid towards the project by May 20th, 2***, to be issued in the form of a Cashiers Check or Money Orders. It has also come to our attention that ********************* misrepresented himself. We know of at least two other individuals experiencing similar issues with *********************, indicating a potential pattern of misconduct.
