I rented a property from these people about a year ago. I am on the Section 8 voucher program and my children and I needed a place and these people accepted the voucher, so I went with signing a lease agreement with them. That was the worse I could have done because the place was rig up just long enough for the paperwork to get an approval by Section 8. As soon as the deal was done the termites started swarming, the ants and roaches came out, the ceiling in one of the upstairs bathrooms, caved in, as well as the ceiling in the laundry area due to a leak in the same upstairs bathroom where the ceiling leaks, there is mildew in that same bathroom and the air ducts needs to be cleaned so the ** does not operate properly, the stove is cracked so I cannot **** without fear of getting cut AND the 1st floor bedroom floods each time it rains heavily so my daughters cannot sleep in there when that happens. The guys that are sent out to fix the problems are not professionals so all they have done is patch up things and cover things like the mildew up with paint and plaster. I have no place to go due to a shortage of suitable rentals and landlords and the cost to move or relocate are extremely expensive. But I believe the people at Epic Land holdings knows this so they prey on people such as myself. I am also going to reach out to Legal Aid because I need my security deposit back to move into someplace else but I have not gotten any response from management.
