Spoke with Daytona Diesel prior to dropping truck off for evaluation and repair on 6/26/24. explained the code and my issue in depth. on 6/26/24 they tested and said #5 needed replaced, and they had replaced the #5 injector, but it did not solve the problem, they said to replace the wire pigtail, they told me the truck was fixed and running good but still throwing the same code. but that it did not affect the operation of the truck. I paid and picked up the truck. by the time I got home it had affected the way the truck performed very poorly, same as before. I called them back right away same day 6/27/24. they proceeded to tell me my tuner would need replaced around $1000, and my *** would need replaced at over $1000 plus everything would need to be reprogramed at an additional $1000+ but they could not guarantee the proper PMC would be delivered? I asked for the part number and said I would get one, and they declined to do any more work on the grounds they could not promise anything at that point. I expected they were good at what they do, but found them to actually be fraudulent and untrustworthy in their computer skills or diagnosing the problems. 1st the injector was not the problem (test would had shown that) 2nd pig tail was not the problem as they even told me after replacing it, that they retested the wiring, and it was not the issue. 3rd the tuner was doing its job all along, until I got the truck back from them, then it no longer worked. 4th the *** was not the problem either. the truck was no longer really drivable once it failed on my way home. I took the truck to another shop, and in one day they reprogramed all the *** and tuner for less than the cost of injector and pigtail replacement that never needed done in the first place. I would like a full refund as the parts never needed replaced if tested, they actually fixed nothing, and made it worse by deprograming my tuner, and unable to do anything for me.
