Mr. L**** was hired in late June/early July to complete work on a residential property. Mr. L**** indicated he was a licensed electrician, and even had a business card and wrote a quote on a company logo paper. Mr. L**** did do some work, however, did not return to complete the work, he received final payment, and never returned. When I attempted to plug in a large appliance the plug did not work. I made multiple (close to 10) phone calls, and texts over the course of 2 weeks, and was either not answered or put off. I hired another electrician after my home almost caught fire due to the work he did complete. He installed a new electrical panel, triple tapped items, used copper wire to connect two breakers, used incorrect wire size on outlets, spliced outlets inside that were mains, and the work completed caused the entire breaker to flip and the wall and panel was hot to the touch. 3 quotes were obtained from additional electric companies, and all stated his work was illegal, poorly done and gravely concerning. It cost me an addition $4000 to fix the work he completed, and an additional $3000 to complete the work he did not. I was able to locate a search from DBPR for a license and Mr. L**** is not even a licensed electrician. Mr. L**** does not have a business though the state either. His work was negligent, thankfully, nobody was hurt.
