Date of transaction: August 5, 2022 Deposit made: $263 (Charge made to ******** card under pre-married name **** ****** Reservation Confirmation #: ****** Date of reservation: June 11-15, 2023 The Plaza Resort & Spa was supposed to provide accommodations for 5 nights for my now husband & I on our honeymoon. The resort closed, without ANY warning or notification. We found out months later (5 weeks prior to our wedding) by going to their website to show a family member. The website stated (& still states) that the resort will be closed for all of 2023. I have reached out to the resort via their "contact" page on the website, email, & phone. I have received no response. I have received no refund. They have made no attempt to resolve this problem.Initial Complaint

December 3 and 4, 2021.....I paid $220.72 for 2 nights stay at the ******** Inn, **************************************.....as soon as I walked into the Hotel to check in I noticed a strong odor of cigarette smoke and chemicals....the carpets were dirty, walls and windows dirty...i was checked in and went up to the room I was assigned, opened door, still smelled cigarette smoke and a strong musty odor and chemical odors...by this time I was having breathing issues due to the cigarettes smell...one bed was not made and there was hair in the bath tub...went back to front desk, room was changed and the condition was worse, cigarette smell was heavier...a worker escorted me and he also smelled the cigarettes, front desk asked if I'd like to upgrade and I refused being the whole Hotel stunk...by this time I was having a severe reaction to the chemicals and cigarettes, even the front desk clerk smelled it, so I requested a full refund being I wouldn't be able to stay there but was only refunded the cost of one night...************ has a NO SMOKING POLICY, yet management is allowing guests and employees to smoke inside the building...I ended up having to get another hotel while I visited Daytona BeachInitial Complaint

I went to the Plaza Resort for vacation on July 3 2021 and paid through July 10 2021 a total of $1634.66. Unexpectedly had to check out early on July 5 2021. At check out I was given a paper for my charges for the days I stayed which totaled $727.89 and said I would be refunded $906.77. I still have the paper. I disputed this through my bank after many attempts contacting the resort and getting no call backs. My bank processed this dispute but for some reason claim no resolution. This being due to the bank disputing the wrong amount. From what I have received from the bank they disputed the $727.89 instead of the $906.77 for the days I was not there. I don't understand who's right or wrong here but I was told I would be refunded $906.77 and have a paper showing this. I made many attempts to resolve this by calling the resort with no response I proceeded to dispute through my bank and now have been told I need to contact the resort. I can't get the resort to respond to any inquiry
