In December of 2023, I mistakenly paid my bill twice and notified the company on 1/22/24 that I had double paid my bill of $274.54.The customer service representative acknowledged the overpayment and said that it could take up to 60 days for me to receive my refund. On April 18, after not having received anything from the company I called again. The customer service representative that I talked to said no refund had been issued as yet and they would escalate my request and let me know the following week what action had been taken. I received no phone call and on April 30 called again. I spoke with a customer service representative who said that a supervisor escalated my claim, but that supervisor was on leave now so he could not check to see the status. I asked to speak with another supervisor who said she too would follow up, but it could take quite a while for the refund to be processed, and that she would call me within a week or two to let me know the status. It has now been 90 days from my initial request, and four months from the overpayment being submitted. I think this is a little extreme.Initial Complaint

I visited the emergency room on 2/14/2022. I received two bills, one was for the Emergency room which is PAID in full via my insurance and the other is this physician bill attached. I had my lawyer FAX Integrated Emergency medicine specialists directly this exact bill copy and a copy of my Insurance ID card to process payment with my insurance. This biller/company is extremely hard to get a hold of so I'm resorting to this BBB Complaint hopefully to establish some sort of contact. I'd like the business to contact me Via EMAIL directly in regards to this situation. I have HealthFirst Medicaid insurance that this bill needs to be processed through.Business response

We have asked they supply the copy of their bill so we can further look into for them. There was no copy attached to this complaint as they stated in their complaint. We also don't show a visit with an open patient balance for them in our system when we search using the information they supplied regarding their account (name and visit date). The only visit for them is currently pending the processing of their insurance. Once a copy of the bill is received from the patient I can look further into this to make sure there is no other account in our system under different information. I have attached a copy of this summary to this response as well.
