May 4th, I purchased a 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio. I put a $2,500 down payment on the car. Days later I received a phone call from finance stating they found me a better deal with lower payments and the first contract would be voided. I signed the second contract and everything looked fine. On June 15, I received a denial letter from the bank that I was supposedly in contract with, I messaged the finance person and tells me to disregard that letter. He assured me that everything was fine and that I had nothing to worry about. I told him, it's been over a month, and I had not received anything in regard to how I would be making payments on my new car or anything. He informed me that he would have once of his finance people call me with that information I was lied to as the first contract I signed was never voided out and now I am having to pay a greater amount then what I was told. To date, I have not been able to resolve this issue as I keep getting the runaround. I also have pictures confirming to disregard the denial letter and reassuring me that I was still approved with the second contract.

Conned out of extra $500 - After negotiating with the sales department I agreed a deal to purchase a new 2023 Gulia putting $1,000 down. Drove from Orlando on May 26th to complete the deal saw sales and car was ready but I then had to wait over 2 hours before the finance manager (Manny) was ready. He had to reprint the lease agreement as he had messed up the first one, I signed the second and gave him the agrees $1,000, then went with sales and drove off the lot. Two weeks later got a message from Manny that the lease agreement was wrong and he was sending a replacement to be signed and I would also need to send the $500.35 for my second payment as it would be due on June 25th and the paperwork would not be sent in time for Chrysler Capital to send me the payment details. He said this would be sent by the Dealership. On Friday June 23rd I got my info from Chrysler and sent up my account, on doing so I found that the dealership had not made the payment as promised. I called Manny and was told he would sort it out. Monday still not paid so I had to pay this myself to keep account current Called Manny again who said he woulds end me a check overnight to cover what I sent them. Nothing received and now finance supervisor says Chrysler took first payment from my $1.000 down so they had taken my second payment to replace that so I am now out $500.35 and my actual down payment is $1.500.35. If down payment does not include the first payment as it always has in many previous leases this should be made very clear. Absolute misrepresentation to sell car. On my drive up to Daytona a had a call from another dealership with a better deal but my integrity kept me with the deal I had made, should have walked away from this dealer.

Regarding Mr ***** complaint. To be clear his contract states 1000.00 down.  It also states 42 month term. He now has 40 payments remaining of his 42 month contract. This has been verified by the lender. So again, the additional money collected was for the 2nd payment. Mr ***** should be able to verify this himself if he would like. Otherwise I am happy to speak with him to assure that he has not lost any money.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

If that is the case why was I not asked to make the first payment by the finance manager as there is no way Chrysler Capital could have had the details to me to make that payment before the second was due.

      Sincerely,

I have reviewed the documents. There is no additional money made by the dealership. All money has been accounted for and applied to the appropriate place. In fact is absurd that the dealership would try and "make an additional 500.00 from this or any customer) I would not employ anyone who attempted to do so.

Good morning On feb 15 2023 i was mislead by this dealership. I was asked to sent 5,000 in order to get the credit application for a gracale, i questioned jeremaih the sales rep, why since i have never need to send $5,000 for a credit check , and what about if i decided not to move foward. He said was going to refunded. my husband decided same day not move forward and now this dealer does not want to return the money. I have requested the money several times and the dealer keep me hostage on this. I was told by Jeremiah Swinson that i was going to get the money back if i dont like the numbers, i have not signed any document nor given a no refund policy. I any requesting my $5,000 i work hard for my money. This is a theft, i was lie on. This dealership is doing not honest Bussiness. ******* ********* ************

I purchased a 2021 Alfa Romeo Stelvio from Alfa Romeo Maserati of Daytona on December 30, 2022. I am an out-of-state buyer who resides in Tennessee, having traveled to Florida to purchase the car from this dealership on this date. As of January 25, 2023, my county clerk’s office has not received the title application or registration documentation for the vehicle and my temporary tag expires on January 28. I brought this to the attention of Sales Specialist Jowayne M******* via phone call on January 23, who stated that since I am registering the car out-of-state, it would “take a long time” and that Finance Manager Ana T******** would reach out to me within a couple of hours to discuss the issue. I did not receive any communication from Ana and sent her an email on January 24, which has also gone unanswered. This issue remains unresolved and given the lack of registration, I will not be able to legally drive the car that I have purchased and paid for after Saturday, January 28.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The dealership completed an application for title and registration on February 1 and I have since received my registration.
