My May rent balance is twice the amount that it should be and April's rent is being added again even though I paid the amount (not the correct one since I couldn't) for that month. I received a notice on April 6th to "make contact" with the office so after calling to ask about the notice, I went over there. I talked to the community manager about it and he acknowledged that I was being charged double rent during a lease problem. I was told that the problem will be forwarded to the person who can handle it since nobody can deal with it at the office. On the 12th, I called to ask about it and was told that accounting was dealing with it and to wait until the end of the month. The person that I talked to also said that other people had the same problem as me. Last week I checked my balanced and the amount was $1270.50, it is currently $1361.03. It's annoying to offer to pay the difference between the previous rent and new to only see what I feared would happened. I have called multiple times and left a voice message to only get no response. I've always paid my rent on the first of the month except when issues occurred (which never were solved) and worried more money is going to be taken from me.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/09) */ To Whom It May Concern, Thank you for bringing to our attention this resident's concern so we may address it, as it was resolved properly already on 5/5/2022. The resident was able to renew his lease, based on the renewal letter that was sent on 3/1/2022. He signed on time however his co-signer was having difficulty signing into the portal until 4/3/2022, after the lease went into effect. This caused a system-error confusion, double charging the ledger incorrectly. While the resident was finalizing the renewal, the system simply held the GL charge, which is now released and has been appropriately credited on his account as of 5/5/2022. The resident was never actually deducted any payment however, as this was solely charges showing internally on a ledger for less than a month until the system was able to allow the credit and true rental amount due. All is resolved. We sincerely hope this clears up concern and/or confusion. Thank you.
