      My husband called cutting edge on Aug. 3, 2023 to get a quote to trim various landscaping at the home we had just purchased. They called me the same evening and scheduled to come out for a quote first thing in the morning on Aug. 4. The salesperson quoted $1600 and had his crew out to complete the work same day. I had an emergency while they were working and left the house, with other adults present. The crew was given a check without me inspecting the work due to my absence. When I returned home and found various items, about half of the work, had not been completed, as well as a damaged fence ( not too big of a deal) I reached out to my sales person. I have continued to reach out to him over the following week, always being promised that he had not forgotten about me and would make sure it was taken care of. This morning my texts no longer seem to be a priority.

      Today my husband and I both spoke to a man identifying himself as ******* ********* the owner of the business. He stated that he would take care of. He said that he could not find record of our contract and asked for a copy of it and screenshots of the conversations with his salesman. I sent them along with photos of the incomplete work. I have not yet heard back from Mr. *********

      We hired Cutting Edge Tree Experts after two consultations regarding our needs. They were out the next day to do the work and the staff was unprofessional, negligent and caused significant damage to our property - as well as our neighbors yard. They entered our neighbors yard without permission and caused damage - and tried to make it better by offering them free work. It was so bad in our yard that their equipment was stuck for a week. Once they got their equipment out, we never heard from them again. The job was left unfinished and with significant damage. We have cameras outside our home that caught everything they did - and everything they said - during the work day. We provided a check to the company on 6/5 for $5,500 - but put a stop on the check that night, after seeing the damage they caused. We informed them about the stop payment, and said we would happily pay the full amount originally quoted once the damage was corrected and work was complete according to our contract. We’ve reached out multiple times since the day of the work (June 4) and haven’t heard back. Not a word from the owner. We are now responsible financially for fixing their damage, in addition to finding another vendor to complete the work. Absolutely do not recommend this business.

      8/08/2021 I hired them to cut down a tree next to my porch (complaint) I paid $500 extra for stump grinding. The employee left 1/3 of the huge stump and buried it w 7 inches of chips to hide it saying we don't have a grinder for this. It took me lots of cash, and 2 men to get the chips out (8 dumpsters full) and they ripped me off. And new shoots are growing from the stump. Employee said he would be back, lie. They left all the chips from another tree in the back. Also paid lots of cash and 2 men. (6 dumpsters full) I hate this company for doing this to me. Also someone flipped a lit cigarette butt near each of them setting it on fire each time RIGHT BY MY HOUSE!!!!

      A crew from Cutting Edge Tree Experts removed trees on our property on 4/28. They climbed on my resin sheds as ladders, used the roofs as scaffolds, and damaged three of the roofs. One of which they put their foot through. The others have bent rafters and gaps where the seams meet. I was told that a "QA" person would be out by Wednesday the 3rd, at the latest, to inspect and repair them. No one showed so I called and left a message at the office as well as with Conor (the field salesman that told me the QA person would be out). I got no response so I called again the next day on the 4th and was told that they would contact their "quality guy" and he would call me back. I did not get a call. I called the office again on Friday the 5th . No answer. Left a message. No call back. I didn't get a call on Monday the 8th so I called again on the 9th and was told(finally) he would be out on the 10th and would call when he was on his way. He didn't call but did show up and inspect 3 sheds. One he was able to repair but two would require parts. I had no further updates, so I texted him on the 30th and asked for an update. I got a response "working on it". On 6/13 sent another text asking for an update with no response. Tried again on the 14th. No response. I sent the company an email on 6/15 and explained that if I didn’t have some sort of resolution I would reach out to the BBB. The Quality person sent me a text that same day and explained that they were waiting on the owner and that they should have an answer “today”. I never heard back. It’s now 6/27 and I have tried contacting the Quality person 3 separate times with no response. It's been 9 weeks since their crew damaged my sheds and I have no resolution or idea when they will be fixed. My sheds are damaged/tarped to try to keep out the unusually large amount of rain we have had this spring/summer. I have been patient to this point, I have no resolution and no communication, so my patience has reached its end.

      April 6, 2023 We entered into an agreement with Dillon from Cutting Edge Tree Experts. The contract was for $1,500. This included taking down Oak tree, Stump grinding the remaining stump Cleaning up cluster of trees/shrubs with over growth and trimming back some limbs from Oak in front yard. Conner another employee from cutting Tree came with a crew of workers he seemed to be a team leader. They were fast and did a fairly good job(seemed a bit rushed) We did call them back to touch up the overgrown area because it was hardly touched,(same day) When the workers were in front yard trimming oak, they asked my husband if he had a tall ladder they could borrow. We did'nt realize at the time that they took the ladder with them. They were using a tree trimmer to get some branches and were not able to reach. As of this date we still have not had stump grinded out as promissed, nor any response about returning the ladder or replacing. I have called the office not less than 6 times, spoke with Tammy who prommised to get back to me each time to no eval. Dillon does not answer any calls, only if it was to give a quote on removing another tree. We would like to have a refund of $300 for stump grinding and a replacement of our 10' Werner fiberglass ladder or the money to replace it which will run you about $250 plus tax. The landscape is on hold because of them not finishing the stump grinding in a timely manner. We would appreciate a professional response from the owner. The handling of This is not acceptable.

      The company was hired on 8/15 to cut down a tree on our property and did not complete the job. They left a 5 ft. portion of the tree standing and damaged some of our and and our neighbors property in the form of fences, stepping stones, torches and the yard/grass itself. It took 2 phone calls 8/18 and 8/25 for them to start the repairs but never finished them. Called back on 8/23 and 8/25 they finally send some out to " finish" the repairs. At this point most items except the grass or cutting down the rest of the tree have been completed (Sub Standard) At this point we went on vacation thinking the company would finish cutting down the tree and fix the front yard ( skid steer destroyed a large portion- did not put any plywood down) Returned from vacation on 9/3 and nothing was done. Called 9/7, were told we would get a call right back..did not. Called 9/9 nobody answered, no call back left a msg. Today is 9/11, still no call back and still no one has come out to cut down the remainder of the tree or fix the yard.

      I have email documentation from the office explaining that I will be obtaining additional quotes to compare what Cutting Edge offered. The "date" on their paperwork was left open which would mean we would next schedule the work when ready. The crew came on to my property without my knowledge while I was at work. They did a poor job, completely rushed and not what I needed done. I contacted the company who said they would make it right. I cannot allow them back on my property after what they did to me, I advised they did about half of what I wanted and asked what address to send partial payment. No response. I let it go. Now I have crew calling, texting, and knocking on my door asking for payment. The company had the opportunity to resolve it and went quiet, I'm now being harassed. I want them to discontinue all contact with me. If they still want their parties payment, I want a revised invoice mailed to me with information on where to send payment. They have a different address online than in their paperwork.

Sometimes miscommunication on both the homeowner and sale department happen. We state open on all of our contracts after we get a signature. We had a signature on your contract and open means we can cut anytime and your on an open schedule. This is a process we use with every customer. Your tree work was cut but after you stated it was not suppose to be. I'm sorry this has happened. We will move forward like we spoke about on the phone. I know you were willing to pay but cutting edge wants no money. I'm sorry for this inconvenience again. We will make sure we address these problems internally so we can get better at our professional manners. Have a great day and happy new year.

      on 8/19/21, Cutting Edge Tree Experts came to my house and offered to clean up some of my trees. I paid them over $2000 and after they left, I noticed my fence door was laying on the ground. When they opened the gate, they literally ripped it off the hinges, then looks like they ran over it with one of their machines. I have called multiple times and they say someone will call me back to take care of it and no one ever calls back. They took my money, destroyed my gate, and now refuse to call back or come out and fix my fence.

      My husband was approached by one of the employees of Cutting Trees, while he was outside cleaning our windows. As hurricane season was approaching, he said yes to cutting down trees on our property. While they did do a good job of cutting down our trees, they also ran into the back end of****'s auto, creating $ 1208.00 worth of damage, destroying the back left tail light and ruining the rear trunk. The man who ran into our car did not report it to his boss, and was unfortunately fired.****, being the honest and trusting person that he is, prepaid them, to take out a magnolia tree...3000.00 worth. They did take out the tree that next Saturday. We were very happy with their work. However, after calling them several times and discussing the money owed for the ruination of****'s car, which we gave them the estimate of $1208.00; they had the audacity to send us a check, which we received today for $1000.00 dollars, short $208.00. There is no way I can recommend this company! SHADY!

It was an error and has been fixed. Please know that this is a company of very high integrity and I am completely pleased with their work and with this result. I thank them for their honestly, and for coming through with the correct payment.
