The Positive: Quick response to quote request and next day service to remove three trees. Friendly crew. The Negative: 1.) I should have checked the BBB first. There seems to be a pattern. We are going on day 10 where the debris (3 oak trees worth) are still in my driveway. I am very patient and if given a date in the future would likely wait and understand. However, what I get is we will be there this afternoon, or in the morning, or tomorrow, or the truck is broken (twice). 2.) FTS understandably had to remove a portion of my fence to get equipment in back yard. They did not put fence back like they found it or at all. I was again told they would be out to put fence back. And I assume that is a different crew than the contracted debris removers. As of this review, fence down. 3.) I paid in full after tree removal with the expectation that the cleanup and restoration would be done in a timely manner. My mistake. I have lost access to my driveway and garage for over a week. As well as having to placate my neighbors. 4.) Not exactly a complaint, however, they also left a partially full fuel can sitting next to house in this record heat. Again... the crew was great! Work was done fast. I just wish they would finish the job I paid for without repeated excuses.

All time worst! Terrible service! This company broke my landscape lights, charged me for cutting down two River Burch trees and grinding two stumps, but would not come back to grind the stumps as promised. I contacted Charles several times but they would not come back so I had to pay someone else to do it. This company did not even come prepared to do the job, with most of their equipment not working.

I hired this group to cut and trim a river oak tree that was half dead. After coming two hours late (truck trouble?) after they said they would be here, the cut and trim seemed fine. However, after moving some of the cuttings to front of my neighbors house, I was told they definitely remove the limbs from my neighbors home. I was told (“don’t worry bubba, we will do it”). They also left three water bottles on my grass in front of the tree they cut. Well, they did come back…the next day and removed most of the limbs from in front of my neighbors home however they left some smaller limbs and other elements from their work that I had to clean up. This along with leaving many sticks in front of the tree they cut, and the used water bottles they threw indicates to me, they really didn’t a dam about the job as long as they got their $650.00. I would definitely would NOT recommend this group….terrible clean up. And I am definitely not anyone’s BUBBA.

Don't use this company. The Saturday prior to the hurricane in south Florida, these folks cut down a large tree in my back yard and they were professional at all times. The did an excellent job at that part of the job, however we were supposed to have the stump grinded and the tree, which was placed in my front yard by the loader, was to be picked up. I was told that those buys would be right behind the cutters and it would all be picked up and grinded that day or Sunday. BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART WAS PAYING THEM THAT DAY, $1040. I won't go into the several phone calls, emails on their website I sent, and how many times I was told I was added to their pick up list. During one of the phone conversations I was told FEMA was going around Jacksonville picking up storm debris. I get there was a hurricane, but the tree was cut down roughly a week prior to the storm. They had no intention of picking it up because they were already paid. Two weeks after the tree was cut down I paid American Tree Service $350 to grind the stump and pick up the tree debris. I've not heard back from 'the tree surgeons'. I asked them to re-inburse me $200, but I'm sure that will never happen. Just don't use these guys!

After two phone calls, three emails to several different email addresses listed on their website, it has gone too long for us to be patient in waiting for property repairs. We were told by the stump grinder that the Florida Tree Surgeons "should have told us that his stump grinder was a heavy piece equipment," but that "Jon is a good guy and he will send a team out to do the repairs." The stump grinder was told by Florida Tree Surgeons to grind 3 stumps and the stump grinder PICKED out the ones he could do so NOT to cause any damage to our property!! And he still destroyed over 20 feet of the deck walkway! Jeremy, the sales rep called on March 25, (the day the stump grinder was there) asking me to RESCIND my complaint email and told us that the Florida Tree Surgeons will be out to repair the walkway on Saturday, April 2. Twenty days later and the repair team is still a "NO SHOW." We are two senior citizens who took out a loan to pay the bill after the Florida Tree Surgeons convinced us that we needed so much more work done that they doubled the original price. Don't ask these two elderly citizens in their 70's on a fixed income to pay for the repair work that should have been taken care of by the company that did the damage.

This company was trimming trees in our neighborhood and stopped by with a card offering a free quote. We showed him exactly what we wanted cut, including some branches in our neighbor's yard (who had given us permission). They took too much off of one tree, leaked oil from their truck in our driveway, broke our fence, and broke our neighbor's lights. They cleaned up our yard and said they'd be back to clean up our neighbor's. They never showed back up. We called and called and called and they never came. The debris was actually preventing our neighbors from continuing work they needed done on their house, so my husband and I went over with a chainsaw to cut up the huge logs they left and haul them away ourselves. We stopped payment on the check as they never finished their work. I am so disgusted.

Florida Tree Surgeons we're doing some work @ my neighbors. My neighbor brought over Rob & Charles, knowing that I needed a very large water Oak tree removed. Rob, the snake oil salesman, convinced me that I should also take down another large water oak, (that was healthy). I wanted to leave approximately 10 foot of trunk on the very large oak that I wanted to get carved into a statue. I stated this to Rob & Charles, with my neighbor present. They don't deny this. I asked them who their arborist was & Rob claimed that title. While I wasn't watching, Rob came over from where the work was being done at my neighbors & spray painted large orange X's on the 2 oaks about waist high. If I'm wanting to keep ~10 foot stump, why would I want to look @ that orange X?
There are 3 guys cutting trees, 3-4 guys piling brush, 2 guys running the stump grinder, a couple of guys with the trucks to haul off the debris, & the " moron" driving the bobcat. The left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. All of my neighbor's trees were topped prior to being cut down. My healthy large water oak was topped before being cut down. BUT, while Charles was out getting parts for some repair & Rob watching something else & I was talking to a different neighbor , the "moron" bobcat driver took it upon himself to cut down the very large oak @ waist HEIGHT, the very tree that I wanted cut @ 10 foot high. Why? It was the only tree taken down that day that wasn't topped prior to being cut down. He was so proud of putting it down where he wanted. It was large enough that it could have damaged my pool enclosure, my house, the fence, or ornamental plants. F--- head!!! I am SO PERTURBED!. It has been nearly 2 weeks & I am still so very angry. Then it started to rain, it rained more than 2 1/2 inches in the next hour measured by my rain gauge. . Charles said that they needed to get the trees that were cut out of my yard, but that it would do some damage. I marked my sprinklers & they only hit one. I marked where my drain field was for my septic & the "moron" bobcat driver mostly stayed off it. They did $500-$1000 dollars worth of damage to my yard. The next day, I had to loan them tools to fix their pole saw so they could finish triming the side yard, while I directed. Then I had to help haul that brush down to the street to get it removed. Yes, they cut my bill of $7500 by $1000. Am I satisfied? NO. Would I ever use them again? NEVER, nor would I EVER recommend them to someone. I feel foolish that I didn't look them up prior to hiring them. Shame on me.
