This place has misleading billing. I went to their site and it says dogs up to 100lbs the price for spay services is 125 and you have to pay upfront so I did. When I got there they told me there would be an additional 15-40 dollar charge for meds which is ok. I received an email that said my total price was 15$. I went to pick up my dog and they gave me paperwork that said my total was 15$ but the lady at the front desk said I could NOT get my dog unless I paid them 80$. I said it doesn't say that on any paperwork. She said it was because of the size of my dog but didn't give me a receipt to back that up. I had an appointment at the VA so I paid it to hurry and get back to longwood but this is just wrong. This is not truthful in their advertising and her not providing proof but saying I couldn't get my dog unless I pay more than the receipt is WRONG. Im requesting the business refund 65$ of the 80 she made me pay as they paper work all says I was only supposed to be charged 15$

Good afternoon. Without having more client information, I can not advise what the additional charges were for. The web site states that addition charges may occur. Depending on the type of surgery it was, there could have been  extra charges such as extended surgery time if the dog was overweight, cryptorchid, may have needed antibiotics to go home with ect. The initial paperwork is printed in the morning at check in. The final charges receipt is printed upon request and it is emailed to the client with the aftercare instructions. Additional charges could be for additional vaccines per the client request but without knowing who the client is, I am unable to give an exact breakdown of what was done. We will not issue a refund for services that were rendered. We also will call the owners to get consent to treat conditions like tape worms, cryptorchid, hernia repair, antibiotic injections. The owners are also able to decline medications to go home with that are an additional charge. If more information can be provided, I could give you a break down of what was done at time of surgery. Thank you and we look forward to hearing form someone soon.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: my dog is not obese and I have her medical records to prove that. The bill they provided me says 15$ for the medication only. There is no bill for “additional surgery time”. This is not honesty. It’s like getting a bill from a cable company for 100$ and then you go to pay, and with no additional proof, they tell you you have to pay 150. Again Im providing a picture of the bill in which it states clearly the remainder for the appointment is only 15$ for the medication. So what they are stating is not truthful and you can see it in the bill. No where does it state additional surgery time. Also included is a picture from their site that says dogs 3-100+ and states nothing about additional amounts. My dog is 87lb 18 month old Rottweiler so their response is loaded with untruth

      Sincerely,
