I hired a tree service company that was doing work at my neighbors house for tree removal. They quoted me 7500 for the job we discussed. They came back three days later and asked what it would take to do business the next day as they were finishing up at the neighbors house and needed work for the next day. Very high pressure sales tactics. They left and came back three times. I told them I would need to be in the 4000 range to commit to the work without receiving another quote from several tree companies I had scheduled to come look at the job in the upcoming week. They said OK. $4900. I said great lets do it. Included in the pricing confirmed by the owner CODY and the salesman Jackson and the sales manager Elliot was stump grinding. Jackson told me they subcontract the stump grinding out to another company and would have them there as soon as CODY was done cutting the trees down. I paid them in check form after they were done cutting thinking they would need the funds to sub the stump grinding out to the company Jackson had mentioned. After cashing my check of $4900 dollars a few days went by. I reached out to Cody the owner and asked him when the stumps would be grinded and he told me that was never part of the deal. I have asked him to call me to speak about this and he will not return my calls or text now. He claims he fired the employees who committed to do this job as well as himself personally telling me he would do the stumps.
