On November 28, 2022, I signed up for *** school at Boca Bay DUI Program by mistake. When I signed up they asked for my payment, which I gave them. The next day, November 29, 2022, I realized I made a mistake and called to cancel my appointment. I've called several times to obtain a refund, but I have not received anything yet. I disputed the charge with my bank with no resolution yet. I did not sign any paperwork with the *** program, and I was told that there was some kind of a fee for cancelling. There is nothing in writing about that fee and when I asked what the fee was she didn't know. This was the girl, (********) that answers the phone. My parent attempted to call and resolve the issue, but they kept hanging up the phone on her stating that they already spoke to me. There hasn't been any resolution, but would like to warn people regarding this company. I made a mistake, but would like to help **** of America get this resolved and obtain my refund. I've made several phone calls to them with no resolution concerning a refund. Also, the class isn't until December 16, 2022, so I cancelled way ahead of time.Business response

We understand that receiving a DUI can make things very difficult. However, we are very compassionate with all our clientele and very transparent about our program policies, rules & regulations while offering a great service.
Many students have expressed their overall appreciation and feel that our services have changed their lives and their future for the better.
We strictly adhere to the **************** DUI Program and the *** requirements, rules and regulations and strive to make this difficult time an easy one.
We have offered to bend our rules to accommodate a partial refund to this client as an act of good faith. The client has refused even though all disclosures were provided.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I did not reject any sort of refund. When I asked what the administrative fee was they didn't know. They said it could be $50 or $100, they didn't know. If this was in writing why didn't they know? Again, I never signed anything since I cancelled within one day. They never processed or offered any refund, and to this day I haven't received anything. I have called several times and they just won't answer. This must be a tactic of there's to steal money from young adults. Again, why haven't I been give the balance after the administrative fee? And, why didn't they know what the fee would be.

December 16th, we received a dispute from the clients bank regarding the processed transaction and the bank that issued the clients card filed a chargeback. As quoted on the Pin-Debit Chargeback Notice that we received on behalf of this client from QuickBooks When your customers bank filed this chargeback the association rules required us to debit your bank account for the amount of this transaction and ***** the cardholder a temporary credit. Please do NOT issue a refund. Therefore, weve decided to put a hold on her refund until a final decision has been made by the bank and QuickBooks.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Yes, I disputed the charge with my bank the day after I cancelled the class and Boca Bay would not issue me a refund. ******** gave me a credit for the amount, but it is on hold and I cannot use it.
I'm not understanding their response. It seems like this is a delay tactic on their part to not refund me any portion of my payment. It has nothing to do with stress on my part as they stated or anything else. As I've stated,
I signed up for the class by mistake and cancelled the next day. I never signed any documents, so I never read the refund policy, that was on the documents. You would think in good faith they would refund all or a portion of my payment.
