On 02/07/2023 discovered that an A/C unit that ********************** Mechanical installed back on 6/18/21. On 07/1/21 he had to replace the air handler because the install was not done correctly. Again in 2022, we discovered that the air handler was leaking air in the garage. I did not know the unit was defective until recently when I had another A/C profession inspect the unit because I had to keep adding Freon to the unit. I just thought that it was a part of the annaul maintenance. We added Fredon in December 2021, October 2022 and now February 6, 2023 for the same issue. He has not responded to any of my request to replace the coil from February. The paid receipt states that he would install a 3.5 ton 14 Seer ***** Control Split System 10 warranty on all parts with online registration. Installation includes all equipment ductwork heaters, drain pans, thermostats. All labor, and any copper and pvc fittings and misc. parts required in total cost. Materials= 3.5 Ton Condenser 4 Ton Air; Handler 8 kW Heater, All **** ******** Fittings and insulations. Hurricane Tie Downs for Condenser. SS2 Float Switch to prevent water leaks.I was told today that I will either have to keep putting in Freon at $325+/visit until the coil is replaced or pay $2,300 to install a new air handler. Still no response from Mr. ********************** to this day. He was paid approx. $4,000 for the new unit in June 2021. Since he installed the unit I have had to call him out to fix/repair something at least 3 times (I have supporting texts). He also claimed that he registered the unit with the manufacturer, ***** so all he has to do is call the manufacturer and have them replace the part so that I don't have to pay someone else to do it.
