This company called my personal number requesting to speak to my ex partner. Any outstanding issues with him should be addressed with him directly and not me. I never authorized them to communicate with me.Business response

related to this account. ********************** purchased this account from the original creditor so it would
stand to reason that Complainant does not have a contract with Starmark. We are attaching to this

Starmark Financial LLC (Starmark) has not had any direct contact with Complainant although we have attempted contact several times. This BBB complaint is the first indication to Starmark that Complainant is claiming That Starmark incorrectly has reported information regarding this obligation to a ***********************. Starmark has not reported this account to any *********************** and therefore cannot delete such a report. We are attaching to this response the contract that was provided to us by our client that is evidence of the debt.

In response to the Complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau on October 22, 2023, Starmark Financial LLC (Starmark) states as follows:
This BBB complaint indicates that Complainant is claiming a lack of liability for this account. In response to this inquiry, Starmark conducted an investigation including reviewing all of the origination documents related to this account, that indicate Complainant is responsible for this account. ********************** purchased this account from Figure Lending, so it would stand to reason that Complainant does not have a contract with Starmark. Based on our investigation it appears that Complainant is responsible for the balance on the account in question. ********************** will pursue this balance in accordance with State and Federal Law. Further, Figure Lending LLC provided validation of this debt to the Complainant on 8/12/2022. Complainant at that time was provided with the following documents:
Loan Agreement; Transaction History; Servicing Statements; Name and Address of the Creditor.

I am not liable for the debt with FIGURE LENDING LLC and I don't have a contract with Starmark Financial LLC. I have received a call on October 19th, 2023 with multiple voicemails from *************************** **************, **************, **************, **************, he has harassed me from numerous of numbers in attempt to collect a debt from me. His actions to collect this debt from me are harassing and very aggressive, affecting me emotionally and causing me too much stress. STARMARK FINANCIAL LLC claims that I owe them a debt in the amount of $ ********, account number: *****. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, specifically 15 U.S.C. Section ****c, this is my formal declaration to terminate and cease all communication from you in regards to the debt you are attempting to collect. In response to this 'Ceasing Communication' letter, in accordance with the Federal Fair Debt Collections Act, you may only contact to inform me that there will be no further collection efforts or to notify me that a specific action will take place. Please be advised that I am well aware of my rights and know that any further contact by you or your company, except a communication confirming your knowledge of this letter, is in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. In addition, any third (3rd) party that you use to coerce the collection of this debt shall also be in violation of federal law.
