      Reliable is NOT so Reliable. They pre qualified us, for a whole house generator, and that we would pay cash. We waited three weeks, I even confirmed the automated confirmation, took off the time from work, and they did not show up. I called them twice, and the first time after waiting several minutes, the line went dead. I called back, only to learn that the sales man was sick and they "SAY" they reached out to me, however this is not accurate or true. They waisted my time and lost a very good customer and they clearly are not **********************.

Our company made an executive decision to no longer service the ***** area, and we emailed all of our existing customers in April 2024 to let them know. We're happy to hear that you were able to find a company to service your generator to prepare for the hurricane season.

      This company installed my generator 10 years ago, and I continued using them for a yearly maintenance/monitoring plan, but the quality of their service began to go downhill to the point where the generator would not start, and they would not call me. As it is, the pricing of their maintenance plan was above many others. Now, upon renewal, I complained about the lack of service, and they informed me that they would no longer cover my area, I contracted with another company, closer to me, and more affordable.

      There is a systemic problem with Reliable Power System, which should really change its name to UNRELIABLE Power System. If you review the numerous filed complaints on this BBB stie as well as others i.e. ******* Yelp etc.. you will find the same horrible consumer stories repeated over and over again. My story is no different, starting with the Incompetence by their technicians, the numerous No Call/No Shows of Appointments, Ghost Writing and pencil whipping reports written by their techs, their lack of customer communication by their so called ***************** attempted extortion, and complete dishonesty , coupled with their fraudulent practices. After ***************************************************************************************************************** fact, my truth to words backed up with facts, unfortunately proved too much for them to handle and therefore they decided to cancel my PM contract (another scam). I would strongly echo several of the other consumers comments indicating to STAY AWAY, DO NOT WALK, BUT RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN from this company.

      Recently, my battery on my Generac went bad and it shut down my back-up system.It took nearly three week to get a tech to come out and replace it. The window of his arrival time was from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. He finally shows up at 4:30! Before he does any thing, he wants a sum $287.73 before he sets foot on my property. A two minute voltage test confirmed the bad battery which he refitted pretty quickly. The battery's price was $222.53. That same battery costs about $110 at BJ's or ****************** call I believe is an excessive amount and coupled to a 100% mark up on the battery for a total of $510.26 is EXCESSIVE! Yes, inflation is here but you folks have gone too far! Based on your greedy pumped up charges above reason, I cannot recommend to others to whom I have previously done.

      RUN! DO NOT WORK WITH RELIABLE POWER SYSTEMS!!! I would give zero stars if it were an option.I am at a loss. My husband and I met with ************************* several months back. He was professional and persistent when signing a contract with Reliable. He was always available; if he didn't answer his phone, he would call back shortly. He called weekly for almost one month to seal the deal. When they came up with reasonable financing options, we signed and were excited to start the process.We were connected to ************************* @ *********** He, too, was always available and quick to respond. However, once everything was signed and financed, we hardly heard back about any progress for our job. I texted weekly constantly to get the same answer... "let me follow up" or "Let me see what's going on.".... After six-plus weeks of babysitting, I'd had enough and asked for a manager's name and let them know we were canceling our Generac install. After another week of being promised **** would call (he didn't), I was given ********************* phone number, and he proved not helpful either. I had to leave several voice and text messages until he finally called me back. His answer was, "I was told it was handled." It wasn't, and you don't call the customer back?! I received an email last week stating they had issued a full refund, only to find out we were charged $800! This is wild. We've had ZERO communication from ************* (again, who both were VERY communicative before signing a contract). No work has been completed. No one has been out to our home. No updates were provided. How are you going to charge us? I have since left at least eight messages at their corporate office (with humans), and SURPRISE! I am still waiting to receive a phone call. I will not go away. I will get the sheriff's office involved if need be. This is the first time I have experienced such horrendous customer service. **********************, do the right thing!

      I just had a ***** Link installed on the generator. They had an issue getting it to work at the time of installation. I received a follow-up email from them and then tried to use the app to finish the installation. It didn't work. I called Reliable and, as usual, they answer the phone right away and got back to me quickly. They even had the Service Mgr, ******, get on the phone to help clear up the issue and resolve my confusion.Bottom line is that they were very responsive and helped resolve the problem in a timely fashion. I would definitely continue to recommend them.

      ************* RPS has always been difficult to deal with when it comes to money charges. Their annual contract renewal always goes up by at least 10% and trying to get service is a nightmare! To replace a broken antenna on my Generac ************************ Link Device, I was told that a diagnostic would have to be run by a service tech for $275.00 for a mechanical part! When I refused, they then offered a service tech to check the problem out for a trip charge of $105.00 and NO price for a new antenna. After I demanded to talk to the Service Manager who is invisible, I was told that the part could be obtained from Amazon online for $12.95! This would never have happened if I didn't threaten them with a BBB complaint, ************ is hard-nosed and unreasonable and lacks common sense. They don't carry parts inventory for all items and their service staff just repeats the same script over and over again despite my protests that it was a mechanical part not subject to software diagnostics at an outlandish price. I have lost all sense of trust in them as being on ************!" This started with Salesman ******************* giving me a hard time about the purchase contract terms for a 22KW Generac Unit purchased in 2018 and installed by sloppy technicians that I had to bird-dog to get things done! The aggravation goes ON!
