    Worst place ever to take your mower,mine came back plugs not returned in engine,and missing internal parts missing

    This customer brought in an 18 year old lawn mower with a blown engine. The mower had incorrect spark plugs installed in the engine when it arrived. We checked spark, fuel flow and compression. Spark and fuel flow were good, but one cylinder had very low (50psi) compression and the other side had no compression. We then disassembled the engine to check the valves. At least one valve on the side with no compression was stuck, but the valves on the low compression side were operational, meaning that it would need a rebuild (not economical) or a new engine. Customer declined further repair. On a job with a blown engine that a customer declines repair on, we typically do not reassemble the blown engine. That just adds additional unnecessary expense to the customer. We also did not reinstall the incorrect plugs in the engine. Sorry you were dissatisfied with that result.

    The engine was not blown i brought it home,replacedthe shear pin in flywheel .then upon further had to replace a push rod that had also been taken from my mower.the age of my mower has no difference to this matter as the service I paid for was not performed. Had it been the shear pin would have been found. But during this time a pushrod was taken out of my engine .I work on a lot of engines myself and have never had a pushrod go missing except if there was a hole in the engine. But as I said I brought it home ,replaced the shear pin ,called billys small engine repair purchased a push rod set .and adjusted the valves and started the (blown engine) and cut my grass. Your attempt to justify your mistake shows your lack of supervision of your employees,and total disregard for your customers.as I work a full time job I have little time with my family and brought my mower to you in confidence that you could and would fix my mower.but when I picked it up I still took my Saturday to fix it. My total trust in you has been diminished and feel you have robbed me not only of the fee I paid you but the parts I had to replace,and the time
