I purchased a battery charger manufactured by the company this year and it quit working. It has a 5 year warranty. I emailed them all the required information for a return/replacement and have not received a response from anyone after multiple emails. They have a number on their website but it appears their phones are not working as well. I just need someone to contact me to get a replacement order started but am getting NO response from them.Business response

Purchased a battery tender junior in Walmart on October 30 2021. It's from the company Deltran. It clearly has printed on front of box 7 year warranty, with no asterisk and no other information on box or paperwork, looked online and nothing on this product. Looked at last one on shelf at Walmart with automotive mgr- nothing. This product totally ceased working after 9 months, hasn't been a year since purchased. Tried to return to Walmart - wouldn't said past 90 days. Went thru email and corresponded with deltran- kept changing their narrative and won't send me a refund and I called them, tried to speak with mgmt- they make it impossible, said send all emails to have any chance with mgmt. Did that over a week ago, haven't heard anything. When changing their narrative they stated cut cord send pics for proof and get a replacement sent out. I don't want another product- after this one failed. I want a refund! They have demonstrated they don't care about the customer , poor customer service! I have pics of product and the original receipt from Walmart. This has been a terrible experience and I have been trying to get a refund since August 22 2022. Sent requested pics to deltran of product and receipt too. Please help.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/09/23) */ Deltran's warranty policy covers the product for repair or replacement, at the discretion of Deltran, for the entirety of the warranty period. In this case it is covered for 7 years. The unit was purchased from******** so any refund of money would have to go through******** and is subject to their policies. We are not able to refund a purchase of a sales transaction that we did not make. We are more than happy to get a new replacement processed for you. We try to make it as painless as possible. It sounds like you have already received the instructions where we will allow you to simply cut the cord from the unit and send us a picture. Once we receive this we will get a replacement sent out to you at no charge. Consumer Response /* (3000, 11, 2022/10/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Writing to the BBB in regards to the response documented by Deltran on 9-23-22. Firstly I would like an answer as to why Deltran was allowed to respond past the documented deadline of 9-22-22? It showed Deltran was reminded AGAIN, but yet the response wasn't received until 9-23-22! That's not right. The response from Deltran is totally unacceptable, and continues to repeatedly show the lack of customer service on their part. It would seem a company such as Deltran would strive for customer service and satisfaction- without customers a company has no business. Deltran should strive to ameliorate this situation and other situations where their product is faulty, by making the customer satisfied either by refund or replacement, at the customers choice, because it is the customer that has spent their hard earned money and in good faith purchased a product like the battery tender junior from Deltran. And their box has printed on it 7 YEAR WARRANTY. This battery tender junior has Deltran's name on it and is their product regardless, and they should fully stand behind it and listen to the customer and meet their needs. Furthermore, nowhere on this box or the paper enclosed or on their website pertaining to this product- battery tender junior, does it state that a consumer can't get a refund if this SPECIFIC PRODUCT OF BATTERY TENDER JUNIOR, is purchased at********. The box has printed on it 7 year warranty with no asterisk and no further information on the box or enclosed paper. It's Deltran's product regardless, do the right thing and refund our money- we want a full refund including the 9% tax we paid as well ,in the total of $31.32. I have never experienced such an awful situation regarding getting a refund from a company. Deltran should quite frankly be embarrassed,to treat customers in this manner,having them jump through the hoops. The original receipt as well as pictures were provided, even more pictures than requested of the box and product. Not to mention my time and energy exhausted in this effort to get a refund for a faulty product that only worked for 9 months. The box reads 7 year warranty and it has not been a year since purchase date. Why would I want another product after the battery tender junior failed at 9 months? And I'm not comfortable with nor do I engage in the reckless behavior of cutting electrical cords into, that's dangerous telling people to cut electrical cords. Additionally,I have read the online reviews of Deltran and there are so many negative reviews and unhappy customers not satisfied, this Furthermore raises red flags and should be of a great concern to the BBB as well- LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE. As a consumer I have tried to get a refund going through all the channels- driving to********, all the emails to Deltran and proving information, and then multiple calls to Deltran finally getting through successfully only one time, and then to be treated in this manner and given the runaround. I have requested my money back since August 22,2022 in the amount totalling $31.32, that's almost 5 1/2 weeks.
