On Nov 3, 2022, following advice from my insurance company, I contacted Joe Taylor Restoration regarding placing a tarp on the roof of one my rental properties, to stop leaking, while the insurance company investigated the claim. In conversation with ***************************, I expressly indicated I will be the only one to approve any work done on my property (not the tenant) and that I need to get an estimate before I give permission to commence work. The rep insisted that the work is done upon arrival and that an estimate is not given. I then insisted on getting at least a price range. I was then given an range-estimate over the phone and approved tarp placement. The roof tarp was placed on the house Nov 7, 2022. I was invoiced for $1600.00 and given an itemized scope of work, which was delivered with the invoice. On Nov 17, 2022 the tenant informed me that the roof was still leaking. I then contacted *************************** to tell them that the Tarp they had placed was not placed correctly and needs an adjustment. I was told some one would go out to "inspect". However, I was not given a time frame. To my surprise, I received another invoice for $1450.00 after the thanksgiving holiday on Nov 29, 2022. The invoice was dated 11/28/2022. This was a shock because I had not approved any additional work. Moreover, *************************** had not communicated with me at all regarding the findings of their "inspection". Furthermore, no details accompanied the second invoice as it relates to the scope of work or what was done, although the invoice indicates "see SCOPE for all work details". I informed *************************** that I was double billed on the same claim and that I had not approved additional work. I was told by the manager he will look into it two days from now. It appears the company built in the necessity for repair work by doing a poor job followed by billing me without informing me that additional work would commence. Further, bills were sent directly to my insurance company for payment.

Service date 12/20/22 So my homeowners send a restoration company to my home after a plumbing problem,,they put in a big dehumidifier some fans, cut out behind molding, rip carpet up,,don't put anything back and charge me 1568.97$ said they would accept payments, letter dated 3/8 and in that letter gave me until 3/14 or would seek court action I sent a check.. they accepted my 1st check, still put a lien on my home! Which the lien was dated 3/8 not 3/14. So they were untruthful in the letter dared 3/8. Added $250 to the ****..And now tell me they can foreclose on my home unless paid in 7 months!
