I had a person try to ship me an Electus parrot with this carrier and they kept demanding money and then when all was said and done their driver LOST the bird and the money they were supposed to refund me. It just sounded too good to be true!Initial Complaint

Hello,I was supposed to receive a dog on Saturday April 29, 2023 coming from ****** ********. I was contacted by a man saying he worked for Petairways. The number is **************. He told me before he could ship my dog I had to buy insurance for him for ***** dollars in order to ship the dog to ********* *********. I complied and did this thru the cash app. He told me my dog was on the way to *****. I got another message from him saying I needed to pay another **** for a new crate that I would be refunded because the crate was cracked during the flight. I refused to do this so we went back and forth several conversations talking about the cost and it wasn't my fault. He told me unless I paid the fee the dog would stay at the airport. I offered to drive to the airport and he told me that was not allowed because it was not part of the contract. I contacted the airport who told me that a dog that stays overnight goes to Paradise ********** and is kept there until ready for transport. I called there on Sunday April 30,2023 and they never had any dogs check in from the airport on Saturday. I am now out **** dollars. I have no dog. I have been treated with some of the worst customer service ever and no idea why this money was even requested since the price of shipping was included with the dog. I tried calling the number ************** the pet airways number out of ******, ******** on April 30, 2023 and there was no answer I tried calling several times. I would like to be compensated the money for this since I never got a dog and the way I was treated was unacceptable.
