Date of transaction: Arrived at garage the first week of April, returned to me on 5/3/2022 Reason for repair: Transmission shuttering - car was drivable, however I didn't want to drive it for fear of any more damage. AAA was called to tow the vehicle to Shiftrite. Randy at Shifrite stated that car did not move and was unable to check it. AAA has record of my call stating that it is drivable, as well as the tow truck driver. Randy from Shiftrite called a few days after receiving vehicle stating that it needed a new transmission and it would cost $4800.00 for a NEW one. And should be ready in about a week. I told him I was going on a cruise and I would have my daughter call him on Weds. She called on Weds and he told her that when he moved the car into the shop he heard the breaks grinding and I would need new breaks and rotors. My daughter said NO, those were just replaced. Please remember he said on paper and to me that the car didn't move, and now is saying that when he drove it, the brakes were making a noise! He also told her that I also need a TCM but he didn't know I needed that too, because the car didn't move. And this would be an extra 618.00. Come to find out it only needed a wire and plug. But now my 4 wheel drive is leaking and I needed 2 new seals. This would be cheaper that the TCM but still totaled 515.74. In total I paid 5673.49. When I received the car back, my linkage in the shifter is messed up and doesn't work properly, but did prior to taking it in. The vehicle smoked and smelled on the way home, and is leaking fluid. I called him immediately and told him it was leaking and he said it was tested and everything is fine, it's leaking inside. Also parts were not reattached, bolts missing and is loose. Now I have a car that I can't drive, with a leaky transmission. He also did not provide parts and labor cost.Business response

Consumer Response /* (3000, 12, 2022/06/01) */ ***Document Attached*** I tried calling him yesterday, he refuses to accept responsibility for the damages, stating that it was already leaking and not drive-able. This is not true. I am also submitting the invoices, which show NO LABOR or PART breakdown. Also it was not authorized - I did not sign a waiver or authorization form.
