On September 2 2022 JNT Fence Company sent someone to my property to give a estimate on a privacy fence (135 feet white vinyl ). Total cost $6480. I wrote them a check for half $3240, was told the wait time 4-6 weeks. After 6 weeks, called, left messages, emailed. The 1 time he answered he claimed Bruno was finishing up a job and would be out next week. Never happened.. Then early December Steven called and said his grandfather under bid the job and ordered the wrong fence (a chain link) would we be interested. NO, Please give us a refund. He apologized and said he would personally bring the check out end of the following week. Never happened. I called, left a message to mail it.. Nothing. All I want is my refund of $3240Initial Complaint

I had JNT fence come out to give me a bid on installing a fence in the backyard of our recently purchased house. He worked up a bid right then and I gave him a downpayment of $1950 as was required of his contract. 7 days later I contacted him to cancel the work as our plans had changed and we were no longer moving to florida. He stated that I was well within my 30 day cancellation and that he would send me a check for the $1950. That was 3 weeks ago and still nothing. He stopped answering my calls last week.Initial Complaint

On August 25, 2022 I met with a young man named Stefan from JNT Fence for an estimate to install fence on my property. I accepted and signed the estimate agreeing to pay a total of $18900.00 for job. I put down 50% as requested and he stated that the job would be approximately 6 weeks out but he may get to it early. I have called to see if he is still on track for the job and to get an estimate of when the he would be here to install the fence. I have been unable to reach anyone. The young man stated that he had worked for JNT Fence for 5 years and he had just purchased the company a year ago and was trying to turn it around. I would like to get my money back if possible.Business response

Sent the money for materials $6500. On June 7,2021. Check was cashed. We have canceled check. Job was to be done and never was. And they won't give our money back.Initial Complaint

On July 2, 2021, we received a quote from JNT Fence (aka Licht Corporation), Steven S, to install a fence in our backyard in the Weybourne Landing area of OTOW. He advised the current wait was 6 to 8 weeks due to the amount of growth in the area. He provided a proposal which we signed on August 12, and he signed and picked up from us, collecting our deposit check of $1600 on that same date. Total cost quoted was $3200, the deposit provided by check was $1600. The check was endorsed by T ***** and deposited on August 13th. This company does not keep in touch with customers. It is solely the customer's responsibility to reach out to them. Then, when dates are set, nothing is heard and they do not reach out to update. When we finally got a commitment saying the install was the week of October 18th. That week came and went with no contact from the company. When I finally reached them, Stephen advised it was "weather" that caused the delay. At this point, we simply did not feel they had any intention of meeting their obligation. It's been well past the promised window of 6 to 8 weeks. We simply want our deposit refunded so we can obtain another fence installer to do this work. We are no longer interested in this company as they appear to be untrustworthy.Initial Complaint

I gave JNT a check for $500 on June 7, 2021. They were to install an 8 foot gate onto my existing fence. They were to remove existing 10' gate in order for me to move camper. Call after call was made and finally on June 28 they took down the gate. A date of July 14 was given to install new gate. As of July 25, still no gate and no phone calls. We called, spoke with "Stephano" on July 26, and cancelled the order. We just wanted our original gate re-installed. Again, no phone calls and no gate re-installed. My husband and I re-installed the gates ourselves (he's 80, I'm 70) My husband finally got Stephano on the phone. We agreed to pay them $100 for taking down the gate and was told by him we would get $400 back. So far, no refund, no phone calls, no emails, nothing. We have never spoken to the owner, Travis. He doesn't return phone calls. All we want is our $400 back.Initial Complaint

On August 11, 2021 I gave JNT Fence a deposit of $925, I was told I would be contacted in 3 weeks about my fence being ordered and that installation would take place in 6-8 weeks. The check I gave for the deposit was cashed the next day. I did not receive the 3 week phone call and at 5 weeks I called and left a message that I would like an update on my fence. I was told Travis would call me with an update. That call did not take place. I have been calling for 4 days leaving voice messages and sent emails trying to find out the status of my fence or return my deposit. I am now asking that my deposit be returned as after doing research this seems to be a common practice of JNT Fence.Business response
