I called for a garage door repair one of the springs broke 08/10/2021. Florida garage door pros came out to repair not 1 spring but both as their company requires it if the springs are more than 5 years old. I paid $425.00 for the job to be completed correctly NOT INCORRECTLY OR UNSAFELY. The garage door stopped working. I called them again to come out for evaluation and possible repair. I needed a new machine door opener to be replaced. during evaluation i was advised that by their tech that Lowes sells them the door openers for cheap. I did not Use them to install the new door opener but because the purchase was from another company that stands behind their install I chose to allow the other company to do the job. other company's installer came to do the job on 03/29/2022. I was advised that the springs were NOT the correct size for the size door I have. I was not able to release the lock and lift the door to open it at all by myself! It is a 2 car garage size door very big and heavy. I called Florida garage door pros to send someone back out to evaluate the install that they originally did on 08/10/2021. THE TECH THAT CAME ON03/29/2022 ADMIITED TO THE WRONG SPRINGS BEING INSTALLED ON 08/10/2021. Tech advised that he wasn't going to replace the springs ONCE HE CALLED HIS BUSNESS OFFICE. I would have to pay over $700.00 for service all over for the correct springs. TECH was instructed to inform me the homeowner. I called Florida garage door pros back to speak to an owner. 03/29/2022 the day the new opener was being installed. Will, one of the owners called back and cursed me and the installer from the other company out. Will belittled me and the installer and is Not willing to make this right! I text Will, back to ask how he was going to make this right? I got know response. this is a hazard and not fair to the homeowner! At anytime the springs could pop and cause serious injury or even death, damage to my car and other vehicle's in garage.
