Two months prior to signing a contract with ***************** of Florida Roof & Building Services we stood in my driveway and shook hands on the contract that he later had us sign on May 27th 2023. At contract signing, we gave him a deposit of $17,000.00. Shortly thereafter he began work on our pool cage enclosure demo., prep and priming of exterior and most bronze gutters (except for the supper gutters needed around pool cage). After the house was painted he requested $8,500.00 for Substantial Progress. Trusting that he would soon follow up with the Major portion of our contract, we gave him another check, Now paid to date $$25,500.00. That was on June 14th 2023 check #***. Since that time NOTHING has been done, he has either given excuses, gone to ******* for 3 weeks, not replied,or Ghosted ** in response to texts or phone calls. We Cannot get our pool cage finished for the $8,500.00 remaining on our contract nor can we Break It. Help is badly needed.Initial Complaint

Date of transaction 3/1/23 replaced roof spouting and gutter guards for price of $14,600. Started leaking with first major rain storm in guest bath. Called several times and texted 5/25 and 6/2. No response. Went to place of business which was a private home. No answer. I had someone else seal the bathroom vent at a price of $100.Business response

This was not a roof leak. This issue was visited and resolved before the company opened and read the BBB complaint. The customer mentioned that she had lowered the temperature inside the house during the recent past which created a tremendous amount of condensation on the **** vents in the ceiling during the 100% humidity (rain) conditions. We inspected the roof and inspected the interior areas where water had dripped on the floors. We wiped the water droplets off of the metal A/C vents in the ceiling and explained the conditions under which water droplets will collect on the grilles during these high humidity times. The homeowner also pointed out an area in a bathroom where water droplets had formed on the floor below a ceiling mounted bath fan. After inspection we determined that it was not a faulty roof install but likely that under high wind driven rain conditions from the east rain could have been forced up through the roof vent hood. (we had these conditions last week). I asked the homeowner to continue to observe this area during coming rains and report back to me. We have had 2 substantial rains (without easterly winds) and have experienced No water intrusion from those rains. We will continue to monitor the situation and remain in contact with the homeowner to make sure she is satisfied. A further note... the homeowner sais she would contact the BBB and report that she is satified. Thank You, **** - Florida Roof and Building Services LLcCustomer response
