    My homeowners policy was coming up for renewal. I received an email with new coverage info and was asked to let them know. I searched for other insurance on my own but, on Sept. 13th I emailed Rowley to let them know to, "go ahead with the policy" and to please, "let my mortgage company know". At the time, I DID NOT know that it was too late for this particular policy. No one emailed me to let me know. On Sept 16th, Rowley sent the declaration page and a bill to my mortgage company. My mortgage company paid the bill and the check was deposited on Sept 23rd. ---still NO word that it was too late--- So, we go on believing we have insurance set up. On Sept 28th, the hurricane happened. On Sept 30th, I contacted the INSURANCE company (not Rowley) to file a claim. "***************************" took my info and said someone would get back to me. No one did. I waited a week and called back and was told that there was NO POLICY. I immediately emailed Rowley to check on it. Received email the next day saying that it was basically MY fault that I had no insurance. Ok, so if it was too late on the 13th, that part was on me. My problem with Rowley is this:(1) Why didn't they notify me on the 13th that it was too late?(2) Why did they send a declaration page and bill to ************** on the 16th.(3) Why did they accept the check AND deposit the check?(4) Why, after all of that, did it take from the 13th to early Oct. (believe it was the 10th) to find out we had no insurance? Why??? No one called, emailed, texted, nothing. We were led to believe we had insurance and so was **************. since they sent a bill and decl. page. to them. NO communication of any kind that it was too late for the policy. Nothing. To say I'm angry is an understatement. We have hurricane damages. This is absolutely poor business practice. Negligence. Something needs to be done about this. Now, because we are "uninsured" it's going to be more expensive and difficult to get ins
