I recently had a new tile roof installed by this company. They took way too long and were very sloppy. Finally Seminole County came and signed off on the permit which should mean that everything was fine and correctly installed. But I decided to have a private professional roof inspection company come take a look. They were horrified. So when I asked the chief Seminole County roof inspector how this happened he said they don't go on roofs????? What? Then how do they inspect the roof? FYI Orange County goes on roofs to do a proper inspection! The company that I hired for $1500 came and reported many serious flaws including improper pipe boot installation not according to code, no flashings installed [according to code], several cracks showing bare plywood with other larger cracks having mastic applied in an attempt to seal the lead deficiencies, unsealed unions of the drip edges to the underlayment, tile exposure that was incorrect throughout, several tiles were broken and just stuck back and the list goes on and on. I contacted the owner Ivy Crowell and she said she would get back to me and resolve all the issues in a few days. It has been 3 weeks and she hasn't answered any of my many phone calls, texts or emails. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REPAIRS MUCH LESS A LARGE NEW TILE ROOF!!!!

UPDATE:

M & I Contracting has resolved all of our roofing issues by installing all new flashing, leading and broken tiles and has also replaced the few torn screens and picked up the nails that were scattered all over when the old roof was taken off. We are very satisfied now.
