  Hired ****** ******* in fall of 2022 to remodel (2) bathrooms and convert a large closet into a bathroom. Work was to be completed before Christmas. Mr. ******* said due to Covid and other issues couldn't be done in this time frame and looked at first of 2023, numerous excuses and periods of silence. When I would call to check on he would say I was just thinking of calling you. Had shared that work needed to be completed by Memorial Day. and he had shared would take several months. Kept hearing he was close to getting started and this dragged on into March. I was heading out of country and he called late one day to say he'd be there in morning and was sending a contract he needed me to sign. It threw me off guard and felt there would be too many issues I'd need to address and wouldn't be here to take care of. I called and discussed that we could move work till fall of 2023 and that would give him plenty of time to prepare. We discussed starting Oct 1 and completed by Dec 22nd, even told him he could get in last week of Sept if that would help and he said it would. I touched base in July, told him I had revisited tile selections, cabinets and just needed where he wanted me to look at countertops. Started calling again in Sept. he said he was just finishing up another job. On Oct 6th received a text that he would be ready to get started soon. I have not heard another word since then. I paid $**** initially for drawings and initial work (he said) then I paid another $**** for him to start demo. I want no less than the $**** back. This contractor lacks professionalism on so many levels, doesn't do what he says, leads you on and doesn't show any signs of ethics! He also still has a key to our home and want it returned.

  I issued a refund check to ******* ****** on 12/18/2023 for $********* The check was cash or deposited thru my bank on 1/05/2024.
