Bought a go play golf gift card from a retailer and it activated and took ***** from account but when I tried using the card it has a zero balance and no one will answer customer service.Business response

I purchased a GoPlay Golf Card. When I went to redeem the card, it said it had no value. When I attempted to call customer service, there was no response. The card code was not scratched off prior to purchase, and I have a receipt from the place of purchase saying the card was activated.Business response

I was unable to find any gift cards associated with your name or email address nor any communications with the customer service team. Without this information I was unable to research what issues you may have had redeeming your card. My sincere apologies that you had any trouble with the process of redeeming your gift card. We are also adding several new redemption options in the upcoming weeks in an effort to better serve our customers. You'll be able to see these new partnerships as they go live on the website (goplaygolf.com) in the next 4-6 weeks. We are excited to be expanding the options for our customers!

Attempted to book a tee time using this useless card on 4/30/2024. I had to put in my account info to book a tee time. When I pushed book it, it said the tee time was no longer available, when I went back, the tee time was still there. Then I got a fraud alert on my credit card stating Supreme Golf was trying to debit my bank account for the full amount of the tee time. Now my card is blocked and I have to go get a new one.Business response

The options they gave me all involved giving them access to my bank accounts, which I will not do again.
We will just take the loss and have no further dealings with them.

Thank you for responding, I appreciate the opportunity to help you redeem your gift card. Go Play Golf has not and will not ever ask you for any account information. The only information Go Play Golf asks you for is your gift card number so we can validate your redemption and your name (or the name of the person redeeming for a tee time). At no point in your interaction with Go Play Golf has your account information been requested. What happened is that you chose to redeem for a tee time through our partner Supreme Golf. As part of the check out process, Supreme Golf does require a credit card number be attached to your account with Supreme so that you can quickly make additional tee times, changes, etc. If you do not wish to go through Supreme to redeem your tee time, Go Play Golf still offers tee times at many courses as well as to book a golf vacation (or just a hotel, rental car, or golf)through goplaygolfvacations.com, golf lessons, or convert the card to a TopGolf or Five Iron gift card. We are also adding several new redemption options in the upcoming weeks in an effort to better serve our customers. You'll be able to see these new partnerships as they go live on the website (goplaygolf.com)in the next 4-6 weeks. We are excited to be expanding the options for our customers!

My husband was given 2 gifts at 2 different times for these gift cards. They were $25 each. When he went to use them the website says there are no funds available. Trying to contact the business and they do not resolve the problem. They keep saying the people did not activate the card each time and there needs to be a receipt even though there's none available. When we go online to look at reviews. Everyone is saying the same thing. this company is just scamming people out of money. We sent them pics of the cards as they requested.Business response

I'm sure you can understand that we can't just activate any cards people say are valid at their word, unfortunately we see a very high fraud rate on the cards being stolen from the displays at stores. Please rest assured we will help you through the process to get it activated!
Whatever the issue may be with the card, we will certainly work with you to get it fixed so that you can redeem it for tee times, golf merchandise or a golf vacation.

Received cards as a gift. Requested to convert the two Go Play Golf Gift Cards to a Topgolf Gift Card on January 1 ****. Received Email back from Go Play Golf saying: "Thank you for your request to convert your Go Play Golf Gift Card to a Topgolf Gift Card. Once the value on your Go Play Golf gift card is confirmed, you will receive an email directly from Topgolf with your new Topgolf gift card number in the amount you have requested. This process may take up to 2 business days. Enjoy your outing at Topgolf and thanks for using your Go Play Golf gift card." I never received any confirming email from Top Golf. This appears to be a SCAM.Business response

Two years in a row, my father bought me these useless gift cards. I have tried to use both of my cards, and neither have worked in ANY of the way in which the company says they work. This is a scam in the highest regard, and this company should be held liable. Both cards I have were for $100 each, and when I try to use them the website says my cards have no remaining funds. I feel horrible that anyone would spend their hard earned money on this, only for this shady company to essentially steal that money.Also, dont ****** trying to contact this company. Received a GOPLAYGOLF gift card for Christmas and just like the one I received before this one has the same issues. The card does not work on the only site you can use it on. The card was a $100 gift card, i tried using it first to buy golf balls, the site took the card number then just stopped working. Tried to use the card again today with error messages about trying a different payment option. This company should be made to refund the money and not only offer a Top Golf card.Business response

My husband and I have received a total of 6 gift cards from GoPlayGolf. I have not been able to use them. I tried to purchase some merchandise, from Worldwide Golf Shops, and it let me enter the card number, showing it redeemed the money, then when I went to enter my bank card information the site told me my bank had denied my card due to my address being wrong, which is incorrect, all of my information was entered correctly. Then it clears out the gift card balance, you go to reenter the gift card and the worldwide golf shops say there are no funds on the card now. It took $150.00 from me. I have 3 additional cards, I believe the total of those cards is around another $150.00.Business response

My 14 year old son was given the GoPlayGolf card as a gift. He attempted to use it to purchase merchandise in the online store that the card provides, since there were no golf courses around us that accept this card. He chose the merchandise, we put in the adequate information necessary, including the card number and pin. In the last step of the purchase, a message came up that the data input was incorrect. We input the data three times, to no avail. However, the amount of the items purchased WAS taken off the card, just no purchase was actually able to be made. I attempted to call many times and was told to leave a message on the voicemail. I have even sent emails, to no avail.Customer response
