Inspect Solutions, Inc. Response

We were contracted to inspect tile for *********************. The reported issue was waves on the side of the tile.
In the report, we acknowledged that waves/warpage existed and was visible. The report refers to the ************************************* (ANSI) guidelines. Per ANSI guidelines, the warpage did not exceed the standard, therefore it is not considered a manufacturing issue.
The warpage is visible and acknowledged in the report. Manufacturers state, in their guidelines, that if a product is not acceptable or is defective the consumer must contact the seller/manufacturer before installation of the product. We cannot state with certainty if this issue was seen before the installation or not as we were not present at the installation.
We, as inspectors, report our findings based on field-testing conducted at the time of the inspection.
Any dispute of responsibility is between the purchaser and the seller. We did not manufacture, market, sell, or install this product. We reported what we found during the inspection and the applicable industry standards.
We cannot state something is manufacturing related when it is not. We stand behind the report as written.
