On 10/27/2022 I signed a service agreement to have my motorcycle repaired at Wes Scott Cycles **** (*************** *************** agreement was to have the shop rebuild the carburetor's with a rebuild kit that I was to provide (parts)The day I left the bike for service the owner too a deposit of $650.00 and I asked to be contacted if the service cost was going to go over $1000.00.When I was called a week later they said the bike was done and ready for pickup. On November 3rd I went to pickup the bike I was given almost all the parts back for the carburator rebuild that was not installed.I asked the owner why he did not use/ install the parts and was told that they were not need to be replaced, that the old parts looked good to him so he didn't use them..The shop owner charged me for *****************************************************************Owner did not do a complete rebuild of the carburetors and I have to have another shop repeat this same labor process to install the parts and do the job correctly.I have the service contrarl that states the parts I provided the shop owner was to be installed and when I picked up the bike and was billed out I found the owner had written on the contract document the parts replacement was "NOT NEEDED" however he never informed me or received approval to not install.

***********************' complaint is not justified.  We we asked to do more that just rebuild his carburetors as is shown on the work order.  We we asked to do the following work as well as rebuild the carburetors:

      1. Rebuild carbs with owner provided parts

      2. install new battery provided by owner

      3. install new fuel lines and clips provided by owner (This was not needed as the existing fuel lines were in perfect condition and it would have taken more labor time to install them)

      4. Install new filters and tees provided by owner (This was not needed as the existing fuel filters were totally clean and in excellent condition and it would have taken more labor time to install them)

5.Install new rubbers and diaphragms provided by owner

      6. Install new spark plugs provided by owner

7.Check rear chain (It checked out OK and I contacted the owner with my findings)

8.Check Oil and change with new oil

      9. Check cam chain adjustment and valve check (They checked out OK)

I told the owner that I could not give him and estimate for the work to be performed but that he would be charged for our work by time and materials at a labor rate of $90/hour.  I also asked him for a deposit towards the work to be performed and he purchased two of my Polo shirts at that time for $50 which I put on his bill.  He therefore gave me a deposit of $650 towards the work in advance as requested.  The 16 hours of labor was not just for the carburetor rebuild but was for everything we did as requested on the signed work order.  ****************** picked up his bike and I gave him ALL of his new and old parts except for the dirty oil and old oil filter.  His claim that I only gave him part of his parts is not true as I always give my customers ALL of their old parts so then can see the bad condition of them and better understand  the work that was required to fix their motorcycles.  His claim that we did not do a complete rebuild of his carburetors is not true as I had them all apart and totally cleaned out the ports, jets and body parts so that they would function properly.  I also installed all of the new parts provided that were needed.  Because I found some of the parts in excellent shape therefore they did not need replacement.  I told this to ****************** so I could save him labor time and that he could have some good spare parts for the future.  This is the right thing to do for any customer so I can spend their money wisely.

My *******' complaint is totally false and should be dismissed.

      Complaint: 18361493

I am rejecting this response because:

There is a clear breach of contract as I have a written agreement to have new parts installed and they were not installed.

The owner *** made that decision on his own without my approval.

I am going to incure cost to have another mechanic install these parts.

I am seaking compensation to cover the costs.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************
