Need I say more than the following, (besides that I got ripped of 20K with the same guy under a different LLC). This guy has stalled the courts for 4 years. Hes like someone who used to be president of the US. ************* v. I was not going to post anything cause Proud America was only broker but I see a couple of other review mentioning mover on track movers. Everyone I talked with at Proud America and on track were very helpful and professional but my items were stored in warehouse while they consolidated shipment. Some items were damaged but bigger problem was items that were lost particularly a file cabinet with personal and un replaceable stuff I noticed missing items right away and called the next day I recd a call saying they found and would forward. Two days later recd call told not mine. I spend a lot of time on the phone finally mgr of warehouse said they would keep on file and if did turn up would let me know after over a year I posted review for on track recd a call a couple of days latter offering compensation once again said file cabinet had personal items said he would look through warehouse and call me back waited a month then posted complaint. Recd call a couple of days later saying never said they would call back and I should except fact file cabinet is lost and once again offered compensation. The only thing I can strongly suggest to anyone planning a move. Use a mover that will deliver right through to destination not store in warehouse or use one of those pod services. *** on track said they will respond to my complaint with a note saying I refused compensation.

Worse company. Everything that other people wrote ans more. Toni lies and tells you exactly what you want to here. Uncharged us, $21000, took 4 weeks after the day we were told for delivery, then they couldn’t get their truck up our driveway(which we have had many trucks and semis have made it no problem). Had to go rent a uhaul, load it and drive it up about 1 mile to our house and unload ourselves. Worse thing of all is most of my furniture was damaged or broken, and every box was opened and went through. Our $2500 cut co knives gone!! Tried several times to file a claim on damaged and broken items, sent pictures and nothing was ever done. Beware !! Don’t use them. I just hope karma comes back to bite them. Especially Toni!!!

I am not one to write reviews but our experience with Proud American VanLines, was so frustrating that we hope to save others from such a BAD experience. We were very displeased with their work and feel scammed out of ~$2000.We were told by P.American that it was OK to pack items in sealed plastic tubs but when VanGo movers arrived on May 7 to take our items,they charged $300 to repack the tubs.This is when we first became aware of the poor communication between ************************ and their subcontractor. The biggest issue was that the truck was scheduled to arrive May 28 but didn't until July 27. For these 2 months,we were having trouble getting answers as to what was going on. P.American wasnt picking up our calls nor returning messages. When we did reach people from both companies, the information about a broken truck and its replacement, didnt agree. We believe that P.American was not being honest with us. Meanwhile,we had to buy items that were on the truck so that we could get along daily. The truck that arrived was an extra-long,18-*******,even though P.American was warned that a large truck could not fit on the receiving property.We were then charged an extra $500 because they had to walk things in due to the truck not being allowed close enough. Several boxes never arrived. By contract and according to a Department of Transportation law, the movers are expected to pay $30/day that the items arrive later then the thirty-day grace ****** that they have to transport. P.American told us to file a claim with VanGo for these monies and washed their hands of this, although they were the ones to set the move up. The claim was for several missing boxes and the refund for the delay past what is allowed by law. We have yet to see this refund more than a year after filing the claim; we were told by ***** that it would take 2 months. Proud American should do a better job vetting their subcontractors, communicating with them and supporting the clients they book moves for.

Proud American Vanlines gave me an original quote of $13,685 to move my household from ********** to *********. Three days before the move, the ***************** person raised the estimate to $21,396. At this point, there was nothing I could do but pay the money as our cross country drive was arranged and the new owners of the house planned to take possession when we left. When the contracted mover, MMG Moving, were almost done loading, the driver notified me I owed additional money as their truck was not large enough. My total was now a whopping $29,9335! I spent the next day struggling to deposit money into MMG's account. The rest of my complaint against MMG Moving has been noted separately. Beware of Proud American. They ask you to estimate how many large, medium, or small boxes you will have knowing full well you cannot accurately answer this question. The updated amount from the ***************** person is almost guaranteed to be significantly larger. No one comes to your house in advance to assess your items. Three days before your move you are at their mercy to pay the increased value. And then you are at the mercy of Proud American's contracted mover to pay their elevated charges. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. The savings to be used for upgrading our new home was given to this disreputable company.

For any of you poor souls out there who are looking for a moving company - let me tell you of our experience. We looked around for a reputable moving company in May 2021 and settled on American ****lines, a company with a name that sounded patriotic. They originally quoted $11,000 to move our small household from *********** ******** to ************* *******. We asked them to come to our home so we could get a firm quote in writing, but they kept putting us off. We thought that amount was outrageous but agreed because we were running out of time. Then just a few days before we were required to vacate our house in ********* ********, they raised their estimate to $17,000 knowing we had no choice because it was too late to find a different moving company. Then on the day of the move they raised the estimate to $19,000 and again we had no choice because we had to vacate the house. Their excuse was that we had more things to move than they had estimated (approximately 3/4 of a van load) but they were charging per item. The problem with that idea was that they often put from 3 to 5 tag stickers on a single piece of furniture (in other words they cheated and committed fraud). The man in charge was from ***** and did not speak English so we had to interpret through a day laborer. They finally got everything loaded and presented us with the list of things they had packed. We were told we would not have to pay storage if we took delivery is less then 30 days. The list was for 473 items many of which had multiple stickers so the count was exaggerated by at least 20% but we signed as we had no choice. When they delivered our stuff, many of our nice furniture items were damaged, many of our pictures were broken and our King ***** mattress was ripped and had water stains over half of it. We were assured that we would be reimbursed for the damage but instead they charged storage even though we took delivery under the time quoted - dishonest and guilty of fraud

If you value your belongings DO NOT use this company. They promise you the world but never tell you they use a third company and when you go back to them with complaints, they don’t want to know you. They charged me $6700 to move from NY to FL. They told me we will be insured for $45,000 if anything is missing. A HUGE LIE. First they picked up my stuff and told me that I went over the amount of boxes and there will be a $2000 additional charge. But if I give them $1000 cash they will remove the other $1000. I never got a receipt for the $1000 so I can only imagine where that $1000 went. Then I was told to be in Florida a certain date but my furniture was not delivered on that date. When it finally was delivered, I was told that the mover who picked up my stuff delivered it to New Jersey and the other truck that was supposed to take it from NJ to Florida, the driver went on vacation without telling anyone my stuff was on the truck. A driver had to come from another state to pick up my stuff and squeeze it into a truck that I shared with two other people. Needless to say I had boxes of stuff broken, kitchen table was broken and couch was torn. A box of antique dolls were missing. When we went to file a claim, they told us we were getting only $133 for everything that was broken and nothing for the antique dolls because they didn’t pack them. I was never told that we would be covered only if they did the packing. They are responsible for my belongings once they take them from my home so how am I not covered? . Technically they did count the boxes I gave them and they can see one was missing. Also, they do not unpack the truck until you give them a money order. So if stuff is missing from that point, that is your issue, not theirs. Please, if you value your belongings, do not use this company - Proud American Veterans Movers.

Proud American added little to no value throughout the moving process and, as soon as we actually signed our contract, everything changed. The entire process with Proud American was exceptionally frustrating and many of the guarantees we had been given during the sales pitch and emails turned out to empty promises and completely unenforceable once our deposit was taken. We eventually got in touch with the dispatch manager who told us that the movers which were assigned to our move should never have been hired and were, "in over their heads". We also explained to him what we were told over the phone during the sales process and he agreed that what we were told sounded, "Very misleading". Our movers had been registered in the DoT website for only a month before our move. We requested a website to look them up multiple times but Proud American could not provide us with one. Upon further research, we found that the owner of the carrier company had a long list of incarcerations in his past. The company only had 1 truck registered through DoT for the entire company, no safety ratings or DoT registered reviews. Any due diligence would reveal that this company would be a very poor choice to hire for a move, but Proud American vetted and hand picked this company for us. It was total negligence. Our moving company had zero reviews from any platform yet we were told that Proud American only works with "the best" in the business and "A & A+ rated movers", Movers with "track records". Our carrier's lack of track record and complete lack of any available ratings on any online platforms prove that these promises are lies. Do not ignore this review, my wife and I are reasonable people. We believe that this company is supremely negligent, ineffective and deceitful, just look at the owner who has been indicted for wire fraud, interstate transportation by property obtained by fraud, and aggravated identity theft as of 02/2022!

Completely unethical! They bid $7,400 for a two bedroom home for a full pack. Then when they came to my home, they charged me $12,000. The Packers were nice but the sales staff has zero integrity.

Used this company to move from Idaho to Alabama. We were unaware that this is a broker, or third party company. We were supposed to receive our move beginning on 9-10-21. As of 11-22-21, they are still stringing us along and blaming it on the company that they hired out to do the job. Every week is the same response, that the move will occur the following week. We have no washer or dryer, a lot of our items have had to be replaced while we wait. Family photos of deceased family that can't be replaced (Up to and including my Father) This is absolutely, completely, 100% unacceptable. We were NEVER told that it would be two and a half months, plus, to wait. We were, however, told that it would be one, maybe two or three weeks. That's it. If this company is okay with how it conducts business in this manner, then stay away.
