The pharmacy overcharged my relative to whom I have poa, aged 92 and in a memory care facility, for more pills than were required (e.g., 34 pills for 24 required; 31 pills for 21 required), and at a cost of almost 100% more than her subsequent pharmacy. Only after several months did the pharmacy amend its billing charge for the additional pills, although it continues to bill at the substantially higher per pill rate (e.g. $18.93 per pill instead of $10.92 per pill); and, it continues to bill for unexplained charges despite multiple requests for an explanation as to their basis.Business response

Good afternoon this was due to an expired coupon that was tendered after the fact. In good faith the pharmacy subsequently issued a credited to ******************* Please note the pharmacy does not dictate the pricing this is done at the insurance level.

I am rejecting this response because:
I was charged for more pills than were prescribed or distributed, and at a grossly exaggerated per pill price. Subsequent pharmacies that have handled this order were a fraction of the cost, with no coupon.

Patient was discharged 2/2023, account paid in full.
Issue was with Jardiance. They had a coupon that was activated after date of fill and we could not use the coupon.
She was given a $-**3.91 credit. Which ****** the total charges for Jardiance to $625.88
The evoucher (evoucher pops up automatically when a claim adjudicates) qty was beyond the threshold limits. (***** was here at the time and I am not familiar with these vouchers). These did adjudicate and these were the copays that came back.
Notes in Framework: UNFORTUNATELY THE JARDIANCE COUPON CAN NOT BE CHANGED FROM ACTIVATION DATE 1/17/23 TO 1/01/23 AND THEREFORE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM ***** THAT WE CAN "NOT" BILL THE JANUARY JARDIANCE THROUGH THE ***** PROGRAM :(
