I terminated service with this business in December. In November I didn't receive service the week of Thanksgiving which I should have. Therefore, I deducted $27.50 for the missed service. This company is constantly sending me emails demanding payme t for service I didn't receive. I had numerous problems with service from this company and they kept raising their prices. I want to post a formal complaint to tell people how bad this company is and to stay away from them.Customer response

When I sent my last payment, I sent a copy of the invoice with an explanation for deducting the $27.50. Obviously, they just ignored this and have continued to constantly send me invoices requesting payment of the $27.50. Also, *****, the pool guy asked me specifically, if anyone serviced the pool the week of Thanksgiving and I told him no. Evidently, he didn't pass that on to the owner so as to not charge us for that week.Business response

Swimming pool man llc services customer pools 50 times per year (we are closed for thanksgiving and Christmas) but we only charge for 48 visits so in effect customers actually receive two free services per year. This allows us to charge a regular monthly fee and not increase costs for the months with 5 service days. So deducting $27.50 for missed service is actually taking money from us (there are 5 Thursdays in November and they received 4 services)
As for price increase, unfortunately this is an issue effecting everyone in the pool business. Our chemical costs have increased 200% in the last 3 years due to covid, and also labor costs have increased substantially. We have increased our service price 20% during the same period. It is unfortunate that we have had to pass on some of these costs to our customers but it is the only way we can stay in business.
We do not lock our customers into contracts and they are free to cancel service at any time so complaining to the bbb that we increased prices is a little unfair.
