I am writing to file a formal complaint against Havertys Furniture and Guardsman, the insurance provider, regarding the purchase of ****** electric recliner sofa set. The purpose of this complaint is to bring attention to the significant delay, unsatisfactory service, and concerning limitations on insurance coverage experienced in the resolution of issues with the purchased furniture.On July 21, we purchased an electric recliner sofa set, totaling approximately $3800,00. Due to the significant investment, we also decided to purchase an insurance plan from Guardsman to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of any issues that *** arise.In October of 2023, just a short time after the purchase, three out of the four recliners stopped working, and the one that remained functional had noticeable damage, including an arch on the arms and a tear at the top. To address these issues, I promptly filed a claim with Guardsman and awaited their assistance.A technician from Guardsman visited our home, inspected the furniture, and informed us that parts might be needed to complete the repairs. Subsequently, Guardsman communicated that the required parts would be ordered by Havertys. We were then instructed to contact Guardsman once Havertys had received the parts to schedule a technician visit.Unfortunately, it has been more than three months since the initial claim was filed, and there has been no resolution. Guardsman has communicated that it *** take an additional **** weeks for the parts to be received, leaving one recliner in an unusable state with the legs up. This is not the level of service and quality we expected when investing nearly $1000 per recliner.I have diligently followed up with both Havertys and Guardsman, but each party refers me to the other, leaving me in a frustrating and unresolved situation. I kindly request your intervention in resolving this matter as soon as possible. My intent is not to seek special treatment but to ensure that we receive the service and product quality commensurate with the investment made.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,Initial Complaint

We purchased a dinning room set form Havertys Furniture, located at ******************************************************************, **.We received the dinning room set but the table had a a deep indent on the table surface. We contacted the customer service department and they came with two replacement, twice. The first replacement was damaged and the second was discolored. We also found damages on the display cabinet and under the table. We decided that we do not want the set because of the damages in the manufacturing process, their failed attempts to replace the pieces and the destruction of a rear piece of Lladro due to the fact that the glass shelves were not properly installed in the display cabinet causing the glass shelf to fall. They give us the run around, from customer service to the store manage before declining our request.I would urge all customers to be aware. There products are substandard. Their were excessive glue under the table. Pieces of wood were chipped off the display unit, the table had a deep indent on the surface.
