In the Fall, I agreed to purchase a travel package with World Wide Vacations. This promised fun, cheap vacations all over the world. On February 7th I called to book a vacation to **********. I reserved the dates of May ***** and the woman I talked to said that I should expect a phone call from the location to confirm my reservation. She charged me $498.00 and told me that I would forfeit the money if I canceled for any reason. I agreed because I was going on this vacation. I waited until Feb. 19, (12 days later) and called again because I hadn't heard from the location to receive my confirmation. After being on hold, the woman told me that the hotel could not accommodate my dates and requested that I move to different dates. I told her that would not work because I have to work those dates they requested I move to. I then asked for a refund for the $498.00. She then proceeded to tell me that I could not get a refund because I agreed that I would not cancel my dates. I explained to her that I did not cancel because my reservation wasn't ever actually booked. I wanted to travel but the vacation wasn't ever booked in the first place so, I should not be charged for something that couldn't happen for reasons outside of my control. I told her that she cannot charge me for something that wasn't ever booked in the first place. I was told that all I could do is reach out to her supervisor but that her supervisor would tell me the same thing. So, I sent an email to her supervisor then disputed my credit card charge with my company. I received an email today in which the supervisor said that she sees that I disputed my charge. I responded with another request to get my money back for my vacation and requested that my original package be refunded too. I do not trust this company and I do not feel comfortable traveling with them. They clearly cannot book a simple vacation and the do not communicate clearly. They should not be allowed to do business.
