Water taxi was a great experience if you are exploring Fort Lauderdale during the hours of 10am to 5pm. After that it is hard to get a taxi. For the past 2 years it has been very hard to get a taxi at stop 3 after the 5pm hour. When a taxi does come they say we are headed the other direction and I told them yeah thats what the last one said. They then say another will be coming in 10min. In the end we have had to uber back to our hotel the last 2 years!!! UnacceptableInitial Complaint

Water Taxi of Ft Lauderdale knowingly sells all-day passes that they have little to no intention of honoring while refusing to provide any refunds for failure to provide service. It happened to my family on February 18, 2023 (Presidents Day Weekend). I purchased 5 all-day passes for $139; Water Taxi does not sell single ride tickets. We did take a short ride in the morning from Stop 6 to 8 (******************************************************). But in the evening, when trying to go to Las Olas for dinner, we waited over 30 minutes for a Taxi only to be turned away (along with about 8 of our new friends who had met waiting at the stop) because the boat was apparently full. We were told by the captain (and the App confirmed) that the ********* would arrive in over 45 minutes, but "it may be full". It turns out that on a busy holiday weekend, Water Taxi only had two boats to provide service for all those day passes they had sold. When I called customer service for a refund, I was told absolutely no refunds. I told them that selling tickets for a service they had little to no intention of honoring is called "fraud". There is no excuse for this business practice and I intend to keep pursuing this until I obtain relief.Business response

We wanted to respond to you regarding your experience on Water Taxi along with our decision on not issuing a refund.
The 5 tickets you purchased for your party had been used for 8 boardings on February 18th, Presidents Day Weekend. This weekend,as you experienced in and around Fort Lauderdale is very crowded, with lots of traffic and lines for almost everything. In anticipation of this we monitor our total ticket sales for the day, allowing guests to ride when they want, as often as they want.
We do not sell tickets ever with the understanding of not honoring them. We also had a total of 6 boats on that route for that day. Sorry the information on the tracker reported 2 boats in service and we will investigate this further.
While your experience was not as you expected and that is not what this company is about after 31 years of operations. We will reach out to you in the next 48 hours to discuss your relief.
