I would like inform you that this "resort" is not a safe place to stay. The parking is horrible and you will be met with a parking attendance that is disrespectful and yells about parking passes that the front desk doesn't tell you about threats to tow your car if your pass is not displayed in your car but allows locals to park in the spaces that are for guest. You have 2 access doors to your room that you have a card for one. That doesn't seal properly while the other leads to a balcony that is shared with other rooms, house keeping left this unlocked after they gave us fresh towels. When you bring the issues up to management you get nothing but excuses and that's it. No one taking responsibility for whats going on. The tiki bar is playing music until late in the night allowing locals access to a pool area when you think you are safe there could be anyone watching you thats not even staying at the hotel. As a women trying to have a good time on vacation being on alert while trying to unwind at a hotel I paid a lot of money of is uneasy.

    Lighthouse Island Resort Response

A busy and popular resort and tiki bar does not make a place unsafe. Parking issues do exist and that is why there is a parking attendant telling people that in certain areas we only allow permitted parking, and other areas guests or bar patrons may park. The rooms that this guest speaks of has electronic key locks with a built in deadbolt on the main entrance of the room.it is on an outside walkway that connects all the rooms, and is on the 3rd floor. The other door in the room leads to a shared patio with 6 other units, this door has to be closed and secured with a dead bolt. Our tiki bar is open to hotel guests and the general public. We promote this in any and all advertising. The pool that is next to our tiki bar, is available for hotel guests and tiki bar patrons to all enjoy as we have tables set up around the pool for dining and drinking enjoyment. We have live entertainment every night until 11pm or midnight, we again advertise this, and make it well known to anyone coming to stay at the resort. This does not make an unsafe situation. If someone feels uneasy around a lot of people having a good time and enjoying music at the place they are staying, they should not stay with us. We are a fun resort, not a sleepy inn that you have to go somewhere else to find fun, with us, you are right at the fun.

Based off all your deflective replies to negative comments about your resort it is clear you do not care about how to better improve your inn for all guests. Maybe instead if worrying about being the hottest party Inn you can clean up your dirty hotel that was riddled with roaches and tell the staff to not be complete jerks to guests who spend thousands of dollars to stay there for a week.
