I have used the services of Fred Jannino, the owner of Jannino Painting Design for several of my vacation investment properties in addition to my personal residences for interior and exterior painting as well as cabinet painting in Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Springs, Naples, Marco Island, Vero Beach, and in Massachusetts and NYC. I am extremely pleased with his services and never had any issues with the quality of his work. I was very disappointed to see a one star review against Mr Jannino on this website as I have used his services since 2008 and not once did I ever have an issue that he would be extremely responsive and address an issue immediately to my satisfaction. I happily endorse the services of Jannino Painting Design and know of others in the swfl area that stand by his services. Highly recommend Fred Jannino and Jannino Painting Design without reservation!

Fred J****** is the owner operator. He painted my condo and it took as much time and considerable cost to redo his work ! I would recommend you stay away from this painter!

Fred painted over the oil based paint on the trim, doors and baseboards without sanding or priming. It started peeling immediately. He did nothing to repair and then said he was done. I SHOULD NOT have paid him; but I did not want him to be a part of the fix. So I moved on.

A painter with his experience knew it would peel! I believe he did it to try and put on a fresh coat of paint and then move on to his next job before it was discovered.

His prices were competitive and he was available. It only became clear to me why this was the case after seeing his results.

I advise to stay clear of Fred J****** Painting !!

I was unable to respond to this negative review/complaint by Mr ******* in a more timely fashion as he had filed this under a defunct telephone number to this consumer agency months after project was completed. Mr ******* did not reveal all the facts surrounding this project including damage done to areas by a visitor that scratched areas in question, and, in fact, are considerably defamatory.

When I did the estimate for this project Mr ******* asked that I make an exception and be accommodating of a gap in the project's duration due to a relative visiting his condo during the project's timeline. I never allow any gaps between start/completion of a project, but he assured me that no one would disrupt the work in progress. That, unfortunately, was not true and the gap did create quite the disruption and impeded not only upon schedule timeline but also the integrity of the project as a whole. Additionally, the processes he described regarding my preparation work are also untrue and not accurately described. I used a bonding primer on all trim/door areas as I had determined from the initial walkthrough estimate that an enamel paint was used on the trim/door areas.

Project was started on Monday and I worked until Wednesday afternoon. His visitor arrived and the gap was from Thursday until I arrived back at the project on following Monday. Upon my return to the project I was met with a very apologetic client who alerted me that his visitor (sister) had inadvertently scraped, scratched, and then peeled the areas that I had painted and they further scraped areas during that time to try to remedy. Not once during this gap timeline did I receive a phone call about the situation from Mr *******, instead his guests and himself disrupted those areas further. He told me that instead of calling me he and visitors went to big box store to get advise on how to fix scraped areas themselves. He then told me that the visitor also said the area was oil paint (it was not - it was enamel paint and I knew that from my initial inspection that is why I used a bonding primer in application prior to applying finish coats.) The scratching generated by his guest / visitor occurred during drying time process and paint was not fully cured however the bonding primer was dried. So they were told by big box home improvement store clerk to use a chemical sanding agent and used an exterior scraper on interior trim work. I emphatically told the client not to go that route. He said he would take care of the areas and I asked him not to apply the chemical sanding solution, he went against my advise and did it anyway. He additionally started painting additional trim areas in areas where I was working and it appeared he was deliberately trying to hinder my progress. I told him I would not be held responsible for any of this work. This was impeding upon my project scheduling and added three extra days to my schedule as he was constantly in my way. These substantial delays should have been billed to him due to his interference. The trim areas were a disaster due to DIY applications by owner not of my devices. Once a client interferes/meddles or puts their hands into a project and/or changes the scope of work, the contractual agreement then becomes null and void.

This project's integrity was damaged due to no fault of mine, but rather by Mr *******'s guests and his own devices.

I have a substantial portfolio of completed projects of condos and waterfront homes throughout swfl on homes that run from 300k to 4.5million. I have a wealth of positive feedback / reviews / references / recommendations from clients in Florida as well as other states on the east coast that are more than satisfied with the quality of my work and are often repeat clients.
I am not going to allow someone taking to keyboard to smear my reputation with futile defamatory libelous statements.
