We love Koobie Kooling. They installed our original A/C unit. Anytime there has been a problem, they are out and fixing it in a very reasonable amount of time. We had an issue of the A/C not working. They came out and fixed it or we thought it was fixed, it wasn't. Called them back and told them it wasn't working after the service call. they came back right away and fixed it. We wouldn't use anyone else for our A/C needs.Review from Richard R

Honest, fair and fast. My family and friends have used for several years now. 2 years ago I was told I needed a new air exchange for $1,300. I knew something did not add up so my son in law said call Kobie. And- just as thought the low voltage fuse was blown because landscapers step on outside wires while trimming ******.. other than the service call that was it.. fixed Recently it sounded like my compressor was struggling to kick on. Called Kobie and and so glad I did . They fixed to Trane standards and it hardly makes a noise noise. If not fixed and caught immediately it would have damaged the compressor or even maybe a whole new unit.. thanks for being fair and honest ??Review from Nichole R

Do not use them. They came to my home and didnt find what was wrong so instead of sending someone else they said everything was working good then my ac broke and I called a real ac company!Kobie Kooling, Inc. Response

I will look into this call and customer to find out what happened but just like the doctor at the emergency room, we can only diagnose what presents to us. I dont know the issue yet but to condemn a company because the machine broke after the service call seems harsh.Review from Doug L

On April 26, 2023 Kobie Kooling performed routing maintenance on my **, and no issues were found. I paid the fee, but on the same day of service, I noticed a thumping noise near one of my exit vents in my living room. This noise occurred every time the air was on and was quite annoying. One of their service men came to inspect when I wasn't home. He said he didn't hear anything, which was a lie, because the noise was evident every time the ** was on (I made sure he was under the correct vent). I called the manager and he was useless. A local ** serviceman came over on May 19, immediately heard the noise, and determined the cause. The serviceman agreed, along with myself, that the Kobie Kooling repairman was lying to me and most likely didn't want to inspect, let alone do the repair work. DO NOT use Kobie Kooling for any ** maintenance. Maybe Kobie Kooling has become too big to service the "Little Guy," Regardless, stay away from them!Kobie Kooling, Inc. Response

*************** is accurate to say we performed routine maint on his hvac system, which has nothing to do with the ceiling grills. He complained of a noise and we responded but could not get the noise to repeat while we were there so we left this with instructions to record it on your phone if it happens again and call back. The notes in the work order are very clear.
First- the noise in the grill can not be cause by a mechanic cleaning the ac system. The two things are very separate. Next- its unfair to claim ************ is lying because we could not get the noise to repeat itself in front of **. We have serviced this home before and always responded to the customer with competent NATE certified mechanics but apparently this noise in a ceiling grill bothered this customer enough to slander our company name because hes upset. Im sorry he had an issue but his attack of our reputation is unwarranted. I wish him well but I guess you cant make everyone happy.Review from Carol S

DONot deal with Kobie Kooking. The owner was rude...I hung up on him. DO NOT allow anyone to sell u a Goodman air conditioner the warranty is no good. I have been without air for almost a month and can't even get a valid PO number for the part I need The temp in my house is 90 and no one at Kobie will do anything about it but b rude. I can't understand why a part I need can't b taken offa new unit and put on mineReview from Michael M

Paid 5,600$ for a new A/c unit. Heater never worked from the beginning in this brand new unit and they didn't even finish the job. The Sheetmetal shroud is held on by duct tape. I waited two months and still wasn't finished and the owner said he won't finish the job or help because I used profanity over the phone after waiting over 2 months for them to finish. Here comes winter and my heater does not work. The techs that are advertised as Nate certified are actually young kids with blue hairKobie Kooling, Inc. Response

This is a repeat complainer from a customer we fired for his threats to our employees. Unfortunately for him, we do not send our staff into houses where people make threats. His work was done, inspected and complete. He is just one unhappy man with nothing to do but threaten and harass people.Customer Response

Dear BBB. This is a disturbed person that was reported to law enforcement for the threats. I really have nothing to add. His claims are simply not accurate, his job is complete and inspected and past. This back and forth isnt healthy. This job happened a long time ago and we don't have any contact with him on the advice of law enforcement. This case is closed.Review from GEORGE C

I HAD KOBIE KOOLING COME TO MY HOME BECAUSE I WAS TIRED OF MY CURRENT, OR SHOULD SAY FORMER COMPANIES OVER PRICED MISTAKES AND POOR SERVICE. MIKE CAME OUT TODAY AND IDENTIFIED SEVERAL DEFECTS THAT HE CORRECTED. I HAVE TO SAY, IT WAS REFRESHING TO GET HONEST ANSWERS, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE PROPER SERVICE. I HAVE FOUND MY NEW AIR CONDITIONING COMPANY ! IN FACT, I WAS SO IMPRESSED I SIGNED AN ANNUAL SERVICE AGREEMENT WHILE HE WAS STILL HERE.Review from William P

Sadly this simply isn't true. This consumer had the hvac system replaced and when completed it was discovered that the Freon utility pipes were leaking someone inside the wall or chase to the roof. When we sent management to investigate how to fix or replace these pipes, the customer was combative and angry. Instead of allowing us to investigate and provide options they chose another contractor to fix or replace the pipes. We certainly were ready and willing to do it. This customer also failed to disclose that while waiting for answers we loaned them portable cooling units at no charge to keep them comfortable. We didn't cause this issue, and the customer himself stopped us from trying to fix it. This review is a lie.Customer Response

Falsehoods, I have nothing but sorrow for anyone doing business with Kobie, my daughter was in the hospital with a stroke, I never met with anyone from Kobie I spoke to him on the phone from the hospital where my daughter was in critical condition, he was argumentative and took offense when I had the temerity to suggest the President of our condo said it was a simple fix, Kobie told me I might never have air again in the condo it was that difficult, when I said that was not possible for obvious reasons he became indignant and voluntarily quit the job. My daughter is still in the hospital and I don't have time for petty nonsense from a company that has numerous complaints, I wish I had checked first. There response is a lie. This is simply not true. The fact is we did withdraw our offer after the consumer became aggressive and demeaning. The offer to talk after they left the hospital was made but this man wanted to talk immediately and it became an argument and personal attack, which is why we suggested another opinion. The problem was there are proven by his $1200 repair with someone else. We don't patch lines like that because it isn't a permanent fix but that's what they chose so it's their prerogative but attacking us is simply anger. They still haven't paid their past due bill and they were not charges for temporary cooling that we provided. This case is currently in our collections department as they owe almost $4000 and this complain may be a way for them to try and negotiate a discount by intimidation. I'm closing this file and if they don't settle their bill Monday the 11 I will be forced to take further legal action to collect. I have tried to make them happy buy they have both been rude and demeaning with personal attacks. I'm not subjecting my employees to that type of treatment.Kobie Kooling, Inc. Response

This case has become a collections case and he's going to court. Is consumer refused to pay and almost $4000 past due amount, and I had to hire an attorney to sue them in court so this will be decided by a court in Lee County Florida. The BBB really shouldn't be involved in a civil court matter.Customer Response

Too many falsehoods to address, this is about a company unable or unwilling to finish a job, no patchwork requested, other contractor pulled new lines, finished in a matter of hours Kobie got caught trying to pad the repair bill in my opinion. Let's not forget, If the tech had identified the leaking line in the first place I would not have purchased the new unit. This case has been turned over to our attorney to Collect and has not been paid. Unfortunately we deal with people like this sometimes and this case was referred to collections. The consumer will never agree with us and visa versa but our records are clear - the consumer freaked out about an unseen issue inside a utility chase. When we began to explore solutions he flipped out and decided to use someone else to patch a pipe instead of replace it. That's the wrong move in my view but it's his choice. He became angry and rude and at one point we were no longer willing to take the abusive language and name calling. It's that simple. They refused to pay their bill saying " I have lots of money, see you in court". This case was turned over to our attorney to do just that. Sometimes you can't please everyone.Customer Response

Bald face lies on all accounts, never do business with this company. Never used foul language, never freaked out and fired them they quit without finishing, no patch job, again all lies because they misrepresented the difficulty of the additional repair they had misdiagnosed in the first place additionally I sent him a. check for his bill as promised for the full amount even though when I requested a copy of the invoice he refused. This case was referred to civil court because of their written refusal to pay. The mans claims are not supported by the written documents that he signed. Just not accurate. This is simply an angry person lashing out. I will pray for their healing.
