I am writing to report a fraudulent experience I had with an online flight booking website, Cheap Vuelos. After booking a flight ticket, the final page displayed only a "Booking ID# in progress" message, and I did not receive any confirmation email with an airline reservation ticket or number. Shortly after, I received an urgent email instructing me to call them. During the call, I was informed that my discounted flight ticket did not allow any luggage. When I requested to cancel the booking, the agent became irate and stated that I would be fully charged with no refund. Subsequently, I received threatening emails suggesting that getting a refund would not be easy. It became apparent that the company did not have the flight ticket, as they switched agents multiple times, each with different scripts, offering more expensive tickets and keeping me on hold to wear down my patience. Eventually, they agreed to cancel the booking for a fee of $350, provided I confirmed the cancellation via email. However, they sent multiple cancellation emails with different passenger names. Upon realizing this, I refrained from responding, as it seemed they intended to use my credit card to charge $1690 for the airline and their $350 service fee. This experience has caused significant distress and financial concern, and I seek assistance in resolving this fraudulent situation.
