On July 2020, I took my car to the AAMCO on 2525 Fowler Street to have my transmission rebuilt. Within a few weeks, I had to return the vehicle as it was not moving at times. Theh changed the transmission fluid and added a friction modifier. A newly rebuilt transmission doesn't need friction modifier. I took the car back and within a couple of weeks, it would not move once again and I had to have the vehicle towed. They worked on it for a month. I took it back and the transmission was not properly attached to the drive shaft and at highway speed popped off launnching the shifter off the car and destroying the heat shield on the car and causing me to lose control on the highway with my wife in the vehicle. I took it back to AAMCO on a tow truck, and they said "it looks like the bolts just came off.". They replaced some of the damaged parts and in an act of vandalism, they damaged part of the dashboard of the car. They replaced it. I took it back 3 or 4 times more after that as the car would sometimes not move at all. It has been rebuilt, remanufactured, etc. multiple times. I have had the vehicle towed back to the shop 4 or 5 times in total. I had a transmission code pop up. I was told by corporate when I needed a transmission code for a new transmission. I had the code. The manager at the AAMCO said he was requesting a new unit. He said he would call me when I could pick up the car in case they needed to inspect it. I never got a call but I stopped by. The manager was not there and an employee gave me my key, said the manager called me and left me a voicemail even though I never had a call or voicemail. The employee told me "He said bring it back on December 1st and it will be a couple of days.". I called yesterday to confirm. They said it will be around 2 weeks for the parts. They said it was not a new unit. They said they would rebuild it. I said that was not what I was told. He claims he told me that. I asked for a rental car free, they said no.
